4.0 out of 5 stars Love the portability, hate the d-pad
I chose this controller for its low price and ability to fit inside of my laptop bag. The controller is about an inch longer than my travel mouse, and slightly thicker.

The first thing you may notice form pictures is the horrible d-pad. Yes, it's an awkward design that performs poorly. It's actually a little worse than the official Xbox 360 d-pad. Still,...

buying two controllers to play street fighter on my laptop, these controllers made the cut by being affordable and having the needed six face buttons for 2d fighting games.

Still, it's fine for RPGs and games where precision isn't an issue. I would not enjoy playing a fighting game with it though.

The Turbo and Clear buttons in the middle of the controller light up red when it's plugged in and cannot be reassigned to gameplay functions. The 6 main face buttons are a little too close together, but that's the result of the compact design.

Speaking of compact, this controller actually opens up to store the USB cable when not in use. The USB cable is about 3 feet long - I wouldn't sit farther from my laptop while playing anyway. While I have some complaints about the d-pad and buttons, I still recommend this product for people who need an extremely compact game controller. You can't complain that the size is too small - that is the entire point of the Pandora. I haven't tried the Pandora Pro, but the price is right on this one.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the money, April 8, 2009

Small, doesn't feel very sturdy, buttons are very close together (not good if you have large fingers) only one D-pad, diagonal directions didn't even work on any of the console emulators I tried it with.
