Brilliantly Efficient,
This review is from: Genius MaxFire Pandora Pro, mini USB PC gamepad, retractable cable. (Personal Computers)
This thing delivers in spades! It's nice and small, so you don't need to do much dancing to access all the buttons. The analog nub works just like the PSP's, and works alright for a D-Pad as well. I'm on a mac, so the included drivers weren't of much use, but it's an HID device so it works fine. Works with emulators, Cave Story, and other games. Comes in a really nice box, too.Especially at this price, this is ideal for a notebook gamer.

I purchased an Asus Eee PC (love it) about a month ago and wanted a small gamepad to easily take with it. I play emulators (SNES, NES....etc) and using just the keyboard can be a pain. I did a bit of research, and ended up purchasing this one.Pros: Size matters, and this one is perfect for mobile use. It folds in half, and with the detachable retractable cord it fits easy in a small bag with the laptop. But, if you have large hands, then this is not the pad for you. I am average and it is very workable. The build quality seems good, and they kept the weight down so its easy to hold. It comes with a case, but I do not use it. The buttons work well, but it will not replace my full size Logitech Dual for desktop use. As a bonus since the cable is a standard USB cable, I always have a way to plug a camera into the laptop on the go. Price is right, actually wish I had picked up two. Cons: The little d-pad is very much like the analog stick on the PSP. It is a bit odd feeling and it is easy to push the wrong direction. I play mostly old RPG's so it is not an issue, but for fast action games I would say it would be a no go. The cord (standard USB connections) is a bit short, but you can use any standard USB cable. I wish it were not the "silver" color, black or white would be better for me. If you are looking for a tiny, easy to carry gamepad, this is a good choice. If I lost it I would quickly buy another one.

I bought this controller cause I wanted something small that I could keep with my netbook in my bad in case I got bored travelling or in class. This controller does jsut that! the psp-type control stick is excellent for control, and all the buttons work well. the only thing i don't like is that i have huge hands and fingers so even though this is incredibly convenient, my hands don't fit it very well.it does come in a nice padded case with a retractable usb cable, place for a memory card, software disk and users manual. great little controller

This is a great little gamepad for the money, very small and compact, so if you have massive sausage fingers, you might wanna skip this one.

Chord too short and wire pathetically thin. The turbo and clear buttons are not standard joystick buttons, meaning you'd have to use the companies' software to interact with them instead of being able to configure them in-game or in-program. It spans from the base of my hand to the base of my fingers. Would give 5 star if it was 10 bucks.

I've bought the gamepad thinking it would be the greatest thing in the world. Well it was hyped up in pc gamer. It delivers only half way, it sure beats playing on the the netbook keyboard. I use it for emulators, but the response of the analog pad sucks in action games. I've tried it on nba jam a few times and I won some but it was a constant fight with the controller to respond how I want it to. I have big hands but not fat fingers thankfully otherwise this would be completely unusable. I still recommend it for playing rpg's especially on plane flights but be ready for the bad controls in action games. Also doesn't look very well built so we'll see how long it lasts. There is no mention of any kind of warranty anywhere on the packaging so it looks like a cheap throw away toy. Which it is, small and very easy to pack in the laptop case.

I have large hands so my hands cramp with extended use. Other than that, awesome pad for travel, comes with a nice case and a retractable usb cord which has decent length. I use it for zses on my laptop and it works as advertised. Minimal setup.

Wow... I was looking for a controller for a laptop... I wanted to have an easy to carry and use controller... This fit the bill but not perfect.PROs: -small & compact... -has all the buttons you need to play SNES -plug and play (I have Win7 and no need for configuration) -the connector uses a mini-USB port so if you loose the cable it's generic enough to be replaced. -Nice compact case and retractable USB cable. -$15... cheap CONs: -I have medium sized hands and the controller feels relatively small -My 9 year old son was first to use it. He immediately "accidentally" removed the rubber piece from the + Pad -retractable cable looks flimsy and very thin... -$15... cheap Overall: -It's a down and dirty very compact controller. You can't use it for a fast paced SNES game like Street Fighter or Mortal Combat. I use it for Mario Kart and Zelda. For $15 is okey to have but I don't think it will last a year. Basically, is it worth $15? Yes.. Will I buy it again... NO. I would forgo the compactness and go for something more solid.

I've been looking for a small portable gamepad for a while, and this is the first one that actually fits the bill. Perfect for some SNES gaming, though my complaint would be that it needs start and select buttons either in place of the Turbo and Clear buttons, or in addition to them. Otherwise, works just fine. If you have complaints about it being too small, then don't get it, because it is minuscule...seriously.
