Excellent!,

This book was a gift and I think I will buy it for several of my friends. The story is spell-binding and very deep. The only drawback was that at times the grammar and spelling were a distraction. I loved the details however and the concept is actually more non-fiction than fiction. I hope that the "talented tenth" realize who they are and step up to the challenge put forth in this and similar books.

Why can't love overcome race??,

This review is from: The Genocide Files (Paperback)
I had a copy of this book years ago and traded it in by mistake. After ordering this copy via Alibris and finally reading the whole book I found myself a little disappointed. The overall plot was very interesting but the various pieces of the mystery fell into position a little to simplistically. I wanted the author to expand and expose more about how the character migrated from a totally European based mentality to a need to join a subversive militant organization. There also has to be more related to how the secondary characters just happen to fall into the main character's transformation. If you read this book ask yourself the one question: Why can't love overcome racial inequality?
Over all it's a pretty good suspense ride and warrants a sequel just to see where things go after the triangle tattoo....

I almost forgot it was fiction.,

Even if you are not prone to giving in to consiracy theories, this novel will make you wonder. Arnold skillfully outlines an organized plot to destroy the African diaspora so exact, that all points (from A to Z) are covered. The heroes fight, not just for their lives, but for the freedom of all people. If you aren't moved to action after reading this book, you missed something.

This book is a must read! Rarely does a book surprise and thrill me. I am not into conspiracy theories, yet this book weaves it's plot so well that the possibility of conspiracy lingers for months. The book holds you in its grip from page one until the end. The characters are well developed. The only negative is that the scene in chapter one keeps the book from being read by all age groups. Keep up the good work! I can't wait until a movie comes.

This book truly makes one think. Our community contains an unreasonable amount of paranoia at times, but this book makes one wonder if the paranoia is justified.

Read and learn. This story combined history and the thriller aspects. I learned some history and reveled in our ability to react to certain situations the way we do, as a people. I can't wait for the second book...don't leave me hanging!

A racing, capturing story that combines danger, suspence, romance, and government wrong doing all in one. During one of our book club's coed meetings, we featured this book. We also had the honor of the Xavier Arnold, the author, in attendance. After three years of our bookk club's existance, this book generated the most dialogue of any other book. It is a fantastic journey of the wake up call given to Matt Peterson, a successful black man living large: investment firm job, fat bank account, expensive sports car, penthouse apartment on Lake Michigan. Oh, I forgot to mention his white girl friend Nicole, a calculated risky addition of a character that actually works quite well. Matt's reality check begins when he is arrested for just being a "brother" after a party one night. Until then, he didn't believe in conspiracies and cover-ups until he stumbles across a sinister plot by the government and the genocide files. Matt's discovery and subsequent transformation should serve as a message to us all. A must read.

This story is spellbounding! I found myself identifying with Matt and Nee. Two people who love Africa enough to go up against all odds to bring about positve change in the African world community " By any means necessary" I loved watching Matt acheive wholeness by overcoming the democratic doctrine of greed, power and control. It took a while for his mind to except his blindness, but when his eyes were opened, he finally understood what was really at stake. His new found awareness is symbolic of the need for Africans to Wake up!!!
