Ok when used in class, but may be frustrating,

This book does an alright job helping one learn with guided instruction, however, the lack of English is frustrating at first. It also has a limited reference section in the back of the book, making it difficult to find anything like specific grammar and structures. Finally, the vocabulary section in the back of the book does not necessarily include all the words you will encounter in the book.

If you want to learn Spanish this is a great item. I have taken 3 semesters of high school spanish but this book is by far the best tool for learning Spanish. Use the website included for the audio. Audio helps to make you a better Spanish speaker and listener.

The publisher includes excellent online tools, mainly listening. The content is conversationally-focused. Note that this edition (ISBN) includes some teacher's tools in the back.
