This companion gift book to Gifford’s inspirational album of the same name expands upon some of the themes taken up in her CD, which is her first Christian recording in a quarter century. The book, like the music, is explicitly Christian, and not generically spiritual or soft-pedaled in any way. Gifford talks about the cross, the atonement of Christ and redemption from sin and pain. She mentions that she has been through quite a bit of pain, much of it endured publicly. In 1996, she was accused of abusing children in foreign sweatshops, a charge she denied and which made her cry out to God in anger. Soon, however, she realized that she should stop focusing on herself and concentrate instead on helping children who work in appalling conditions (although she clarifies that "those children had no connection to me"). She speaks poignantly of her father’s death and what she has learned from her children. The book’s design features pastel colors and soft-focus photographs of Gifford with her family alongside Scripture verses, song lyrics, prayers and reflections.

Kathie Lee's "Gentle Grace" is a beautiful work of inspiration and hope...it is a companion to her fabulous CD by the same name. They go hand-in-hand to share with others the tremendous faith Mrs. Gifford has. Both of these items are truly a blessing.

Kathie Lee has always been a talented, special celebrity but first and foremost she is a woman dedicated to the Lord, to her faith, family and friends. She's a super role model for all of us.

I highly recommend this book and also the companion CD!

This is the companion to the CD Gentle Grace and it is a nice devotional book to use either while listening to the CD or alone. It speaks volumes...Kathie Lee is truly an inspiration with the way she channels her talent into helping others. Her proceeds for this project and the CD go to help children's charities and that is admirable.

I love my copy of both the CD and the book and highly recommend them both.

As usual, this is a bit of a self serving book about Kathie Lee and her trials and tribulations. I do like Christian books that are hopeful and believe in the Lord, but this is sort of desperate KL stuff because basically she has no career to speak of. It's about frank's cheating, her two darling children, and her troubles in life. But it get monotonous and really isn't uplifting or optimistic, rather sort of self pitying in my opinion.
