4.0 out of 5 stars Aaaaaaaaaalmost perfect
Our son, who's almost 1 1/2, has patches of eczema on his cheeks and the backs of his knees. We tried a hydrocortisone cream, as his doctor suggested -- it worked (temporarily) on his legs but not at all on his face.

I grabbed this cream on a whim while at the store one day. It works like magic! After just a couple of days, my little guy's cheeks and legs were...

1.0 out of 5 stars This product contains petrolatum and parabens! Don't be fooled by the name "natural"
Ok...so you want a product that is going to help your growing baby, not harm it right?? Please be warned the first ingredient in this product is petrolatum which is a by product of petroleum. Could seem harmless as we all grew up using vasoline for something around our house, but take a closer look and you will find this is not as harmless as it appears. Petrolatum...

After just a couple of days, my little guy's cheeks and legs were totally soft and not red or irritated-looking at all. They stay that way, too, as long as we remember to put the cream on every day.

The only reason I'm not giving this five stars is because it does contain parabens, which I like to avoid in the products I use on my son.

Petrolatum can have side effects like breast tumors, suffocation of the skin, premature aging and aggravated acne. This also contains 3 different parabens which are currently caught up in a controversy that they can be associated with carcinogenic and weaken estrogenic activity that could lead to tumors and even cancer. There are other products out there like Babyganics or Wedela that do not contain these products and are safe for your little one. Please do your own research to understand and make up your own mind regarding this product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Actually Works!, January 4, 2008

I was a little skeptical about buying yet another lotion for my son's infant eczema. He has really dry skin and it breaks out in patches of eczema that can get pretty bad. We tried Vaseline (on the recommendation of my doctor), hydrocortisone cream on the really bad spots, and Aveeno baby lotion. None of them worked as well as this lotion. I apply it within minutes of getting him out of the bathtub and it is amazing...his skin is no longer breaking out and is getting back to baby soft. I can see the difference within an hour of applying it.

The only downside is the price, especially because you have to apply it fairly liberally. Four ounces does not last long for us, but I'll still be buying it because it is the only thing that works so far!

5.0 out of 5 stars FINALLY, January 5, 2011
This review is from: Gentle Naturals Baby Eczema Cream, Fragrance Free, 4 oz. (Baby Product)
We have tried EVERYTHING available on the market...I am a pharmacist and have seen creams come and go...new ones, old ones, I have used them ALL. My little one has had eczema on his face, legs, hands for what seems like forever. Some creams make the condition a bit better to where it is tolerable, but never really made it go away completely...UNTIL NOW.....3 days of use with "Gentle Naturals" and the eczema is barely, barely visible....I believe in a week it will be entirely gone. His skin looks like it should, fresh supple and baby like (my beautiful little boy). I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GIVING THIS CREAM A TRY, its inexpensive, a little goes a long way, its made of NATURAL products and the results are amazing!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally something that works!, May 14, 2011
This review is from: Gentle Naturals Baby Eczema Cream, Fragrance Free, 4 oz. (Baby Product)
This was the first thing I tried for our baby's eczema and it worked quickly. I ran out and decided to try other things. None of them worked. I tried coconut oil, expensive essential oils from Young Living, Burt's Bee, California Baby, etc., etc.,. I went back to Gentle Naturals and was AMAZED at how quickly it worked. All the ingredients may not be "natural", BUT I tried the totally natural stuff and they didn't work. The price is very reasonable and a lot cheaper than all the alternatives I tried. Give your baby a long soak in the tub and then apply the cream.

5.0 out of 5 stars The BEST for our baby's eczema, March 4, 2009
This is one of 2 lotions (out of about 100 tested) that has helped tame our baby's horrible eczema. We use it in combination with Burt's Bees "Baby Bee" Buttermilk Lotion (which I have also reviewed). We use the buttermilk lotion first to soak in, then the thicker Gentle Naturals cream to seal it in. The two work so well together, better than anything else we've found. This is the most pleasant of all the thicker lotions we've tried, because it's not greasy, just creamy. It's a wonder product, and anyone dealing with eczema knows that those are hard to find!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Eczema Cream Ever!, April 23, 2010
This review is from: Gentle Naturals Baby Eczema Cream, Fragrance Free, 4 oz. (Baby Product)
I have eczema, my two and a half year old has eczema and it didn't matter what we tried, nothing helped calm our skin woes. I found this product more than two years ago when my daughter was an infant and haven't switched to anything since. It's a thick, rich cream (not liquidy at all, like one other reviewer stated -- maybe they thought they were reviewing a lotion and not this product).

This stuff is not as greasy as some products and it works really well to calm those red, irritated, itchy, dry patches associated with eczema sufferers. My daughter's skin is great and so is mine. We hardly have to use it these days, so a 4 oz tube lasts us a long time now. It helped calm it down so much that neither of us have much of an issue anymore, and if we do, we know what to use! Excellent product.

5.0 out of 5 stars only one that REALLY works!, February 2, 2008
This review is from: Gentle Naturals Baby Eczema Cream, Fragrance Free, 4 oz. (Baby Product)
Like all other parents I have tried everything. Aveeno, hydrocortizone, prescription creams and this the only one that really works on my son. The doctors tell you to try every other cream apart from this one. When i told my doctor this was what i was using, he had never heard of it and kept perscribing more perscription creams. My sons nipples have been swollen since he was a newborn and they get infected so he needs the perscription cream for that but for patches of eczema breakouts and for keeping my sons skin soft and healthy, this is the cream i would recommend. Well worth the money!

Worked perfectly and I really like the thickness of the cream. Wish it was sold in my drugstore as I felt it took a while to arrive. However it really did improve my baby's eczema and it's so nice to know she feels good again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works like Magic, February 7, 2011
This review is from: Gentle Naturals Baby Eczema Cream, Fragrance Free, 4 oz. (Baby Product)
My daughter has severe eczema on her face, torso, and knees. I had tried the aveeno baby ezcema and it did nothing for my daughter. I grabbed this at the store on a whim and after only a few applications a majority of her patches were gone. This cream is thick and very hydrating. We love it!
