Don't Let the Curiosity Get the Best of You,
By Wherethepeachesgrow (St. Louis) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Gentle Satan: My Father, Abe Saffron (Paperback)
I read this book maybe a year ago, and was SHOCKED to see it being plugged on Kitchen Nightmares. Don't spend money on it. This is a perfect example of someone thinking they can write a book just because they have a "story". Not everyone is a writer. The author's writing is highly amateur and falls flat. I guess I understand him trying to use a national platform to generate revenue, but don't let your curiosity about seeing the book on TV get the best of your wallet.

Dreadful,
By
This review is from: Gentle Satan: My Father, Abe Saffron (Paperback)
This is the most horribly written dribble I've ever read! It's bloody horrible! I've even started an account just to rate this book. I'm not quite sure how this was published. This was so poorly written, I don't think that Saffron has ever read a book before he penned this atrocity. This is one to avoid. Oh, and "Gentle Satan" as a title is quite the overstatement. Lame.

Out of morbid curiosity,
This review is from: Gentle Satan: My Father, Abe Saffron (Paperback)
I have not read this book, but may do so out of morbid curiosity. The author (Alan Saffron) brings this book up and gives a copy to Gordon Ramsay during the episode of Kitchen Nightmares regarding the author's failing burger restaurant. Alan Saffron is the freakiest buckaroo I've ever come across. He's simply unimaginable, yet there he is, and apparently is father was even more unimaginable, yet he was.If you too are morbidly curious, the episodes about the author's restaurant are #7 and #8 of season 4 of Kitchen Nightmares. This can be viewed for free on Hulu, which is where I watched it last night.
