Gentle Souls I Feel Platform Pump

This pair of shoes is very good looking but very uncomfortable. It has a very narrow width and at first, I thought the shoe just needs breaking in. But I have wore it three times for 8 hours each and because of the narrow width, my toes really hurt to the point of being numb. It is a pity because it is a very good looking pair of shoes but I think because of the narrow width, this is an uncomfortable pair, despite the nice material and craftmanship.

I agree with commenter Sue: this shoe is perfect in every way. It's classic with a little twist, thanks to the asymmetrical topline. I love the way the elastic eases the fit, and the hidden platform makes the heel very walkable. I have very high insteps and arches and consequently have chronic ball-of-foot pain . . . but not in this shoe! I own the black color and would love to find the brown in my size (6.5). I'd love it even more in forest green, tan, or burgundy. Please bring back this style, Gentle Souls!

I have never found a pump that even comes close to how perfect this shoe is for me. The platform sole makes for a cushy step and the heel looks amazing high and sexy. The off-angled gore adds a bit of interest, while letting the shoe secure more of my foot.

I have read so many mixed reviews of this shoe -- some like me are wild about it while others find it absolutely unwearable. So, if you're like me -- medium width ball of foot but narrow mid-foot and arch; can't wear ballet flats or Nine West comfortably -- then I'd suggest you give it a try.
