We have used the Citronella spray for years to control our barking Jack Russell Terrier. While it doesn't eliminate an occasional bark, it does limit continuous barking. The dog doesn't seem to mind the collar or the spray.

the scent does seem to deter barking; the trick is getting the collar to spray the scent each time the dog barks. that's touch and go.

We have a new "kid" in our four legged family, a one year old, rambunctious put bull named Tim. He was completely unsocialized, and while he got along very well with our other dogs and our cats, he exhibited behaviors such as fence charging and barking, and barking at our new (and very tolerant) neighbor, which are behaviors that are completely unacceptable in our house.

I needed a way to correct and redirect his behavior when we were not here to supervise him. After a supervised training period with the citronella collar, we can now leave Tim, and the rest of our pack, in the backyard to play, knowing a spray from the collar at the first bark from Tim will stop his barking, and also stop the excited energy from progressing to anything unwanted.

The spray is not harsh (I tested it on myself), but it is a gentle, instantaneous reminder that barking is not acceptable.

Product Arrived on time and in a 3-pack. I wish the product could have larger cans, as the citrnella does not last long. Selling and buying in 3-packs are key so you are not having to replace them in an urgent situation as most pet stores do not keep a lot of refills in stock, as to my experience.

I highly recommend buying the citronella spray with the collar. The odorless had no effect on my dogs at all. With the citronella spray, after they were sprayed once, they shut right up!

Petco wanted $16.99 for ONE can, so this is a great deal. Unfortunately my barking dogs are starting to care a bit less about the sprays they are getting, so I may have to alternate with another product.

I purchased this product along with the barking collar. Good product, does work without harming your dog. When i put the collar on him, he gets very nervous and shakes, knowing that if he barks, he will get sprayed. That bothers me, so I refrain from using it most of the time.

Purchased these refills for use in bark collar. Identical to the original package that came with the bark collar. Cheaper in 3's. So with two dogs I felt it was the best way to go. Love the citronella smell, except when the dog is right in my face and he barks, I get the spray! Lovely. Kinda like that Dorito commercial where the dog sneaks up and puts the bark collar on the guy taunting him with a chip.

So, when my American Foxhound was young and frisky, she barked constantly, driving the neighbors, and me, nuts. Then in a few months her voice became even louder, so I tried this citronella spray device. It definitely functions, but the scent does not deter my hound dog. Not even for a moment! I gave the rig to someone with a little foofy dog, and purchased a shock collar for Abigail, and it works quite well. Within only a few weeks, just the sight of the collar would deter her barking. I tried it on myself. It's not painful, but the jolt startles and annoys her, and she stops the barking, and remembers. I'd suggest a person get one of the shock collars rather than a scent system, especially if they have a large and vigorous type of dog.

Great stuff, but had to ship to US instead of europe where I am located.
