5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book on this subject, February 15, 2010

Annalisa Cunningham was by far one of the best and most inspirational people that I know. I took a yoga class from her for a semester in college. With the stress of school and work, yoga was a blessing for me. She is a specialist in pain management and massage therapy as well. This book is amazing, full color, tons of facts about nutrition, recipes, and of course lots of yoga poses. She even has a 28 day routine for exercises and the best part is, it is gentle yoga with beginning and advanced poses depending on your flexibility.

Highly Recommended.

A friend and I went to yoga classes together and when we want to practice yoga at home this is the book we use. It is great for visual reminders of the poses as we are never sure if we're remembering to do them right. I love this book!

Yoga for Healing by Annalisa Cunningham is a really wonderful book. I've been practicing yoga for 33 years, teaching for 12, and have a huge library of yoga books, so I feel confident saying this book is well worth owning. It is a beautiful book with clear large photos, and she offers much wisdom, in an accessible down-to-earth writing style. It is a perfect introduction for those new to yoga, but also has much to offer more seasoned practitioners that is not found in other books. For example, I taught a workshop recently on creating positive change in one's life, and as part it we did yoga with the affirmations from Annalisa's book, and the participants loved them. Thank you Annalisa!
