This product keeps my dogs from boredom barking. If it's anxiety barking, or barking at someone who trespasses into our yard no they won't stop, it's just annoying enough that they won't do it just for kicks. This has considerably lessened the amount of barking my GSD and Doberman do.

I got squirted in the face/eyes with it, which I didn't enjoy but wasn't a big deal either so you can feel a lot safer about using this than painful methods like shock collars. It even came recommended by my dog trainer, who is a positive reinforcement only trainer. She won't continue to work with you if you use shock collars or pinch/choke. She believes these to be an acceptable method, and has the benefit of being consistent in a way that spraying them with water can't be.

This seller got me the replacements right away, and had a great price. I have nothing bad to say about it.

I have a 45 pound breed-unknown dog (looks like a small golden retriever) who is very barky. Any dog walking by our house leads to a long torrent of ear-splitting barking. The bark collar works great - he wears it just a few hours a day and it has cut down on his barking a lot, even when he isn't wearing it. These refills are significantly cheaper than the chain pet stores sell them for. One tip - when the can is close to empty, it doesn't fill the collar well. It seems like the can can't generate enough pressure to fill the collar and the squirt is very weak. I thought my dog had just gotten used to the collar and that it didn't work anymore, but once I switched to a new refill can it was back to high effectiveness.

Great stuff. My dog doesn't like it, but isn't freaked out either. He stops his bad behavior right away and usually I only have to use the sound tone on the collar control unit rather than the spray because the spray sends such an effective message to him.

This worked amazing for the first 1 to 2 weeks. Then it lost its effectiveness to the point now where it doesn't even seem to bother my dog. Maybe your dog is different.

That being said, it despenses a nice citrus smell.

This is a great product to help train your dog. My dog tend to bark when I'm not at home and is agressive toward other dogs. The spray color helps temper the agression and keeps my dog quiet during walks. My family was so impressed that we started walking the dog more.

The product is packaged well and the collar is easy to put on the dog. The citronella worked one day and not after that. When my dog wouldn't stop trying to get out of the car I yelled at him (he's deaf) and I got a shot in the face. Smelled good. Alas my dog is not disturbed by citronella and I liked it.

I have to find another method to stop his barking.

This product works OK if your dog only barks once or twice and then stops. My dog was able to keep barking and would "bark out" the collar, then of course it didn't work.

We have a dog that loves to bark at other dogs at workmen with wheels or anyone walking down the hall. We hoped that the Citronella approach would work - it did for the first few times, but after that the dogjust accepted the spray.

There are better products (petsafe collar has been very successful.)

Don't waste tyour $ on citronella.
