OK. I'm way late to the party. I just "discovered" Garou back in March of this year (2013) through Youtube videos of Notre Dame de Paris (if you don't know what I'm talking about, you must watch it). Most of his music (as well as the previously mentioned musical) is in French and, even though my French is totally inadequate, I still love listening to it: I have to have the words in front of me in order to be able to understand the songs (and a google translate window open).

Even so, Garou has a wonderful, deep and expressive voice. I like this album because it is nice, for a change, to hear Garou sing in English and not have to spend X-amount of hours trying to understand what he's singing (it's just the way I am...bonus: I'm learning French!!!!) I recommend this album as an intro to Garou's music. He does a lot of covers besides original songs, but it's mainly because he prefers to sing Blues and Swing/Big Band. At times, I think he sounds like Dean Martin. Love that!
