A pretty good read, actually,
By Flower Girl (MN, United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Gentleman's Choice (Zebra Regency Romance) (Paperback)
My feeling about this book is somewhat different from the other reviewer, I actually thought it was quite good. I do have to agree that certain plot was moving rather slowly, such as the part about Lord Lorrigan lingered at the Pleasantries without declaring himself as expected, author took unnecessary length of time to disclose the reason, which could very easily lose reader's patience; fortunately, Ms. Donley made up that deficiency with her good writing. The story was presented in a flowing manner, it was smooth, witty, and humorous at times. I really liked Nell and her father, Sir Charles, but would like to know more about Sir Ivor--his ending was rather abrupt, which was too bad, I felt he was more helpful and showed more tender side to Nell than Lord Lorrigan.
I enjoyed this book more for Ms. Donley's writing ability than the story plot itself.
