They were way ahead of the pack(2001)...I saw Gentlemen Of Leisure play a show at a nightclub in THE O.C. and bought this C.D.If you like the current resurgence of 80's electro pop then you can't go wrong with this.There is good production and each track has it's own style yet it's glued together with uber cool melodies and pop sensibility.There's a blend of smooth dreamy textural synthpop to the more moody ...darker tracks like "ANTIDOTE" or "ESCAPE" which are standouts that could rival Tears For Fears or Depeche Mode.I really look forward to a follow up....although it's been a long wait.

This album is brilliant, and these guys are genius! So smoooth. The perfect combination of music, style and fantasy.

Ultra catchy, unique, fun, "retro-style" original music. I first heard, "Antidote" on Pandora and it got permanently stuck in my head. Then I heard it a few more times and had to have it. I cannot believe this album is from 2001! Sadly, I think there aren't any more albums from Gentlemen of Leisure because it appears the lead singer of the duo, has passed away. I'd recommend picking this CD up, as it seems there are very few left in production.

Nice suits, flashing lights, razor cut hair,gucci bags,just
to name a few of things associated with this record. It has an
edge on recent electro/pop stuff. It is as electronic as
Kraftwerk and as pop as Duran Duran. Good dance party material.

lots of sloppy, distorted les paul leads and beer fart sound effects make this recording particularly marvelous. perfect music to play through loudspeakers at a homeless shelter, abortion clinic, or on a boombox in a third world country while people wait on line for bowls of grain mush and dirt.
