This book is a collection of quotes made famous by football coaches and players over the course of the history of the American football. There are quotes from George Halas to Bill Belichick and from players like Red Grange to Tom Brady. Football fans will get a tremendous enjoyment from this book that proves to be very funny, very pointed and very educational in how the game of football is considered, played and looked upon. There are quotes and quips here that many of us would consider unforgettable and quite memorable.

The book is divided into subject matter regarding football. These quotes and quips are superbly picked and many of them have been repeated many times after the original speaker have spoken. As one may say, these words are part of the lore of American football. A definite read for any football fan out there.

(The title of the book came from a quote by Vince Lombardi who was trying to get back to basic with his Green Bay Packers.)

I bought this for my 12 year old son who is a huge football fan. He loves it! The quotes are very funny! Adult football fans will love it, and for the most part it is age appropriate for a 12 year old. Some of the quotes in the "Girl Crazy" chapter go over his head, but there is nothing offensive. There are a few swear words, but nothing worse than d*** or h***, and those only occur a few times. My only complaint would be it isn't hardcover, and the pages seem a little thin, so it has to be treated a little gently. I would definately buy it again!
