Great keyboard, but don't overpay...,

I've been using this keyboard for a little over a year and I love it. There are some subtle ergonomic touches that I won't go into in detail, the usual shortcut buttons above the Function keys, a very comfortable detachable wrist rest, and larger than typical white letters that are easily visible (to me) in low light. It also has two USB 1.1 ports for your mouse, etc. so you can save a few ports on the back of your machine, and my personal favorite: the ROTARY VOLUME control! You don't see too many of those on computers these days.
P.S. The original retail price of these keyboards was around $30, and I got mine new in the box for $20 from a different website. Shop around.

I'm an IT professional, and I've been using these keyboards for about six months. They came bundled with a set of new Dell computers. During this time, several of the keyboards have had issues with the keys sticking or failing. Most commonly, the problems are with the arrow keys or some of the special character keys like the question mark. In some cases I was able to fix the problem by cleaning the keyboard or other action, but in others I simply threw the keyboard away. This keyboard appears to have some reliability issues.
However, the price shown on Amazon's site for this keyboard ($102) must be a misprint. There isn't a keyboard on Earth that I would pay $102 for.

This is the best keyboard I've ever used. Just has a good feel to it, the right 'bounce' in the keys, clicky but not too clicky. Nice layout, easy to use.

Amazing response when I type. Smooth. No strain to fingers. Yet doesn't slip. Faster typing. Almost type at your peak speak. I used a keyboard from belkin which was so hard that I needed finger massage !
Full marks to this keyboard !

I received this keyboard yesterday and so far haven't been able to make it function. All the keys work, but they don't produce the Spanish letters and punctuation marks indicated. In fact, if I compare them to my old keyboard, they still produce the old letters and symbols, as if there's nothing Spanish about it.Looking at the product description on other sites, it seems to require the following: "This keyboard features a standard set of 105 keys and a USB interface for connecting to select Dell OptiPlex(tm)/ Precision(tm) WorkStation Systems." And Windows 7. I hope one of my technical friends can find a driver that will allow this to work on my desktop and laptop, but as of now I'm not optimistic. If I figure it out, I'll update this review and change my rating. |
