If you have to blowup images from time to time Genuine Fractals 6 is the best way I have found to do it yet! While it isn't the cheapest plugin around it is definitely worth the price. It allows you to bundle enlargements into batches and do them all at once or you can do them one at time as you need to enlarge an image. It works far better than the built in enlargement in photoshop.

Genuine Fractals also includes easy to understand video tutorials the installer directs you to once the plugin is installed on your computer. I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

Things to note
1. This works with Photoshop Element 6 &7 (may work with older versions but this is what I know works for my experience)
2. It does not work with the 64-bit version of Photoshop CS4. OnOne's web site states they are working on this issue.

I have found this product allows me to control precisely size and pixels/inch. I can easily enlarge small or cropped images to a dpi needed for the particular printer I am using (I typically use Epson to print photos and 360dpi has been recommended).
I can enlarge photos without adding a bunch of digital noise and maintaining sharpness. I've only pushed to enlarge 200-300% though I know they say you can enlarge beyond that.

OnOne's web site has a lot of great info and some free plug-in. I highly recomend checking it out.

I bought this as part of OnOne's 4.5 suite of tools. It was well worth the investment.

Does the product support enlargement of raw files ... yes. Are the enlargements any better than results obtained with bicubic renderings ... that hard to determine. There were times when bicubic rendering were better, despite efforts to optimize pixel patterns with GF. And GF takes forever to compute a model even when using a quadcore processor with 4GB memory under the Win2003 server platform. I'd suggest photoshop users max the abilities built into the software, before shelling out $100 or so for a software tool that does so little. [Footnote: I object the Amazon label of a "Kid's Review" in so much as I'm the one stuck showing my parent's how to use their computer to prepare the taxes].

I wanted a tool for producing improved resolution digital photos from lower resolution originals, and this program/plugin does the trick. It interfaces seamlessly with Photoshop Elements and produces excellent results. I'm very satisfied.

This software comes with a combination of barriers which you have to use in order to install it. They use an intermediary service to handle registration. I first installed the trial software, then purchased the product before my trial period expired. This became another nightmare because every time I used the product I was reminded that I had x number of days until the trial expired. I purchased the software and installed it without first uninstalling the original. The few times I used the product it crashed my MacPro. I have finally decided to accept the fact that I threw money out the door because I am not about to waste time with their invisible licensing barrier that they put between you and OnOne.

The Amazon description for this item is maddening! It is normally a Photoshop plug-in, but you would never know it from the description, which emphasizes batch processing and therefore implies that it is not a plug-in. If it is a plug-in, there is no Photoshop version compatibility information. User reviews imply that it is a plug-in, but that is not enough information for me to order it. Amazon prices are attractive, better than I can find on eBay, but other vendors (e.g., Adorama) do give information that do answers my questions. :-((
