I find this to be one of the top Study Bibles currently available. I purchased a genuine leather thumb-indexed version and am very satisfied. The quality of the leather is excellent, the text is just the right size, and the paper quality is also very good. The study notes, maps, concordance are all wonderful. This is a very solid Study Bible. The only negative is that my particular Bible does have a lot of pages that are creased and others that are rippled. I suppose that this was a just manufacturing defect, and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another Ryrie Study Bible, and most likely will in the near future. Inside you will find one of the best Study Bibles ever printed. Along with my 14 year old "NKJV Believer's Study Bible" (which is now out-of-print and hard to find), this Bible is already a favorite of mine. I find the DVD-Software that comes with the Ryrie incredible, and I am getting a lot of use out of it. It is a great study tool. Just be aware that many of the features are a 30 day trial. Also be aware that there are many free books available to add as well. If you don't have an NASB Bible, this is the one to get, and the Ryrie Study Bible is available in other translations as well. Overall, a great value - I recommend it to anyone looking for a comprehensive Study Bible. Just remember this is a big & heavy Bible, not one that you would toss in your bag or briefcase to carry around all of the time.

This Bible which I have just purchased is my second. I liked the first so much that I purchased another just like it. My old one's cover had broken and I needed a better looking one to take to Church on Sunday for our weekly study. I still use the old one with all my underlines at home. This Bible has great study notes below which make clearer the message that might otherwise be difficult to understand. By the side of the verses, references are made to other places to give more meaning to my study.. The maps in the back show me the location of a particular city or country. The index tabs help me find the book I am seeking. There are many versions to choose from, but I like this one best.

There are so many other reviews here, I am only going to add that I am very pleased with the notes in this Bible. I am especially excited about reading the "A Synopsis of Bible Doctrine" by Charles C. Ryrie.

The only peculiarity I found was the indexed version which I received, had the tab for John spelled "JNO" instead of the traditional JHN.

I would have rated this bible 5 stars, but the quality of the genuine leather was not that great. It is very thin, and the first one I received I sent back because it had a torn page, and the leather had a bubble in it (some separation). It is advertised as genuine leather, but it almost seems like bonded leather to me. Some of my other genuine leather bibles have a nice thick durable feel.

On the positive side this Bible has a sewn binding so it will last for many many years.

If you study the bible, this edition is the one you want. I purchased this for my mother, who finds peace and enjoyment in her search of the scriptures. She has told me over and over that she has gotten more out of the scriptures from this study edition than any she has had in the past. She is thrilled with it, and if she is, anyone would be.

I have both the hardcover and Genuine Leather edition of the Ryrie New American Standard Bible. My comments apply to both with one exception, the Genuine Leather edition is Smyth sewn for greater durability.

Overall, I am impressed with the Ryrie NASB. It contains all the study helps you'll ever need including concise commentary, book introductions, concordance, articles and an excellent synopsis of Bible Doctrine. The NASB is a little difficult to read smoothly but it is extremely accurate.

The quality of the Ryrie is excellent. The hard cover is durable and the Genuine Leather edition is even more so because of its sewn binding. The print and paper are both good, although when the New Testament quotes the OT the font size is decreased somewhat.

I rate this Bible as 4 stars because, although excellent, it should have included alternative translation notes at the bottom of the page. Still highly recommended!

Got this Bible for my oldest daughter (12) as her first grown up version. Have to say it made me want to get another one for myself. Well made, leather is soft and flexible. Would recommend this to anyone. There nicer Bibles out there, but probably not for the same money.
