I just received this and am disappointed. I bought this journal for my 3 week vacation in Argentina. I leave in 4 days and paid for shipping to make sure this arrived before my trip. It states in the description that it has 96 pages, but I just counted and it has 39. Even if you double that number it's only 78 so clearly this is not accurate. Now I have to pay to send it back or eat the cost for this expensive journal and try to find a new one right when I arrive. I'm very unhappy. The description should state how many pages it truly has.

If the # of pages doesn't matter to you, the journal itself is beautiful leather and wonderfully crafted. I really wish it had come how I ordered it...

I'm very picky when it comes to journals, and this is definitely exactly what I wanted. I love the pages in the book. They are really thick and the tattered edges make it look vintage. Like I'm in Lord of the Rings. The leather of the book is thick and good quality. Overall a very good journal

This journal has a rustic look to it. It has a wrap-around strap to tie it closed which I think is kind of fun and old world style. The leather is good quality and very soft.

The pages have rough-cut edges that add to the style. I was a little concerned that the pages, being hand sewn into the leather, would tear out easily. However, the opposite is true. The pages are really secure, and the thread is strong and durable. Those pages aren't going anywhere.

The journal is the right size to handle--not too big, not too small. I'm pleased overall with this purchase.

I love writing in this journal. I have the burgundy and will probably purchase another one when I'm finished with my current journal. I use my journal as a collector of story ideas. I aspire to write short stories or perhaps novels, and the journal is where I write down my story synopsis. I keep one story idea to a page; I can then later revisit my ideas and select one to pursue into a larger draft.

Because the journal is much more high-end than a notepad, I tend to think a little harder and try to write more clearly as I set out a story idea. Great journal. Love it!

Really only has 48 pages, and is very small-about the size of my pen, and not refillable pages--for what it is, seems over priced for me-- I will try something different next time

What I like about the journal is that it is old fashioned and rustic. The leather feels great and shows a natural wear. The pages have a good little texture to them and are thick. It's great for writing things that I want passed down through family.

I got a nice pen to use as the thicker, fluid ink helps to class up what I write in it. It's been a great journal.

Likes

Dislikes

-Small size (Not sure if they're specified in the description, but I should've read it more thoroughly.)

-It's about 6" x 4 1/4"

-While the quality of the paper is excellent, they are grouped. It's like 4 small pamphlets bound to a leather case.

I know it's sounds crazy, but I think what pleased me the most about this journal was the smell of the leather. It immediately takes me back to my grade school days where we made crafts from scraps of old leather. Couple that with the wonderfully textured pages and I am one greatly pleased purchaser! My girlfriend will love the gift she is about to receive once I am finished with this journal project.

I bought the journal for my husband for Christmas. He is an artist and likes smaller sketch books that he can keep in the car or in a bag in case he gets ideas while we are out. It's the perfect size to carry around and is big enough to sketch in!

This journal turned out to be a perfect anniversary gift for my wife, being an English major, writer and habitual journal-keeper. The cover is high quality. I don't know if it's perfectly real leather (it probably is), but it feels like the real deal, and not like it's going to come apart. The pages are high-weight, handmade, and they looks awesome. The whole deal just begs to have epic stories or journals of high adventure kept in it. I might even get one for myself sometime, too!
