Genuine Leather Magic Wallet in Brown

I bought this to replace a "magic wallet" that I had purchased from J. Crew SEVERAL years ago. My existing wallet had an elastic strap that held my money and receipts.
This wallet uses a 'ribbon' instead of an elastic strap. The ribbon does not expand and therefore is not very useful...unless you only carry a couple of dollars with you. I was very disappointed and doubt that I will actually carry this wallet.

i have bought a magic wallet in the past, and the only difference between that wallet and this wallet is that my old magic wallet had an elastic strap inside, and this one just has a ribbon. Although in some of the other reviews I have read people seem to be disappointed with the ribbon, I actually prefer it to the elastic, because it seems to hold my money more securely and the elastic actually broke on my old wallet, and that is why i had to replace it. the only draw back is that the ribbon cannot hold alot of cash whereas the elastic could. so if you are a person who carries alot of cash, i would not buy this wallet.

I did't even have this wallet for a month before one of the elastic straps in the middle broke. Soon after that broke the other one did to and the whole thing fell apart...if you really want a magic wallet i suggest you put some money into it so that you know its well put together!

I have to say that when I received this wallet in the mail I was a little unimpressed. The leather felt really fake and the whole thing looked pretty flimsy. I tried it out and it worked well. One weird thing I found out when using this wallet is that when you keep on flipping the bills back and forth the wallet kind of pushes the bills out of the top of the wallet...could be some potential problems there.

Overall I would have to say that this wallet is definitely not a bad find, especially for its price.

Great wallet. Holds everything in place. Never have a problem with it. I brought my bf one and he loves it. He was holding his cards and money in this like wallet that opens like a card. it was so unorganized. I bought him this wallet and he loves it that it flips and it is different. now he has a very organized wallet.

I purchased this as a present for my husband who was sick of carrying his super fat wallet in his pocket. This one is big enough for all the necessary items and it doesn't take much room. My husband is very pleased!

The Wallet does not work to well. Its bands are made of ribbon which lacks elasticity and fails to hold things snugly. The good ones have bands made of elastic material and work much better.

If you're looking for a standard magic wallet it works fine. The bands will give you trouble down the line. They are not made of stretch material, so if you carry large amounts of cash, eventually it will stretch out the straps.
But for the price, I can't complain. If you don't tend to carry a lot of cash at once, you should be fine.

Actual leather wallet part is great! The straps holding it together (the magic part) aren't at all elastic and will stretch out to the point of uselessness FAST. I like this wallet, but it's kind of unusable.

Great wallet! I love the ribbons because they don't stretch out like elastic. If you use the wallet correctly, you can fit several bills. I was able to carry 10 bills, folded. Just place the bills into the wallet, turn it over, open it, and the bills are secured! It's really cool because I can carry it in my front pocket and not even notice it. This is a great little wallet for a great price!
