REMEDY'S ALBUM "THE GENUINE ARTICLE" SHOWS HOW EXPANDED AND DEEP THE WU FAMILY REALLY IS. REMEDY COMES STRONG FROM THE OPENING TRACK THE REMAKE OF PINK FLOYD'S CLASSIC "EDUCATION" WITH RZA. REMEDY'S SKILLS IS ILL, VIVID, DARK AND TRUE. HE ALSO PRODUCERS HIS WHOLE ALBUM EXCEPT THE LAST TRACK "WARNING" WHICH IS PRODUCED BY THE ALWAYS DOPE 4TH DICIPLE. REMEDY NOW JOINS A CLASS OF ILL WHITE BOYS TO MC(AND I DON'T MEAN LIKE EMIENM)INCLUDING EL-P, NECRO, HIGH AND MIGHTY, EVIENDENCE. WHICH ARE ALL ALSO ILL PRODUCERS. THIS IS TRUE HIP HOP AT IT'S FULLIST AND BREAKS DOWN COMMERICALISM IN RAP-HIP HOP MUSIC. THE ONLY NEGITIVE THING I HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THIS ALBUM IS THAT AGAIN LIKE SO MANY WU ALBUMS IS SHORT. ONLY 13 TRACKS AND 1 "NEVER AGAIN" IS ON THAT SWARM ALBUM. BUT REMEDY SKILLS AND PHAT PRODUCTION MAKES IT DOPE ANYWAY. I THINK THE WHOLE ALBUM IS TIGHT AND MAYBE ONE SONG "WHITEBOY" COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER. GO COP THIS ILL UNDERGROUND JOINT IF YOU LIKE REAL HIP HOP. IF YOU ARE INTO THE MATRIALISM RAP CRAP(JAY Z JA RULE TRICK DADDY RUFF RIDERS CASH MONEY) THEN YOU WON'T LIKE THIS ALBUM AND MAYBE WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT DOES NOY LIKE HIP HOP. NEXT UP FOR WU-TANG CREW IS SUPPOSED TO BE KILLARMY, BOBBY DIGITAL, GHOSTFACE, MASTA KILLA NEW ALBUMS. IF ALL THOSE COME OUT THEN EXPECT WU-TANG TO BE RIGHT BACK ON TOP OF THE GAME. I would have never thought possible that there would be another white rapper besides Vanilla Ice. Eminem and Everlast came along. I would have never thought that there would be a white JEWISH rapper. Being a Jew, I gotta give this guy mad props.

I heard the "Never Again" track on the Wu-Tang Killa Beez album and it's one of my favorite songs ever. It's got such a great message and when I played it for my grandpa it brought tears to his eyes. I'd never seen him cry before, and he told me what a great song it was. And it is.

I also love the track "Hip Hop Music" cuz it's got a sweet beat to it, I love the bit of rock-n-roll mixed in to it. The track "Education" is another great one, I like the kids in the background of it. "White Boy" is a good track too, it's pretty funny. Good music video too.

If you're a fan of the Wu-Tang cru, this is a must have album by one of their best rappers. Also, if you're Jewish, I suggest peepin this too or at least downloading the "Never Again" track because it's a GREAT song.

REMEDY IS A HOT PRODUCER AND DOES AN ACCEPTICAL JOB ON HIS ALBUM. REMEDY IS NOW AMONG THE REAL HIP HOP WHITE BOY CLASS MC'S(I DON'T MEAN EMIENM)EL-P. NECRO. NON-PHIXION, HIGH AND MIGHTY, AND EVEIDENCE FROM DILATED. ALSO ALL GOOD PRODUCERS AS WELL. REMEDY'S WHOLE ALBUM IS BLAZING(COULD HAVE RHYMED A LITTLE BETTER ON "WHITEBOY"), BUT THE REST HAVE WU HEAD BANGERS ON IT. HE ALSO BRINGS NEW ARTIST TO THE TABLE LIKE SOLOMAN CHILDS, A GOOD FEMELE VOCALIST SWEETLEAF, LOUNGELOE AND CLOCKA. HE ALSO HAS CAPPADONNA ON TWO SONGS INCLUDING THE BANGER "GIRLFRIEND" AND HE HAS THE RZA ON A SONG. THE ONLY NEGITVE THING I HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THE ALBUM IS THAT LIKE MOST OF TODAY'S WU-TANG A LITTLE ON THE SHORT SIDE ONLY 13 TRACKS, INCLUDING A TRACK "NEVER AGAIN"(WHICH IS AN ILL SONG)BUT WAS RELEASED IN 98 ON THAT SWARM ALBUM, BUT REMEDY'S ALBUM IS CONSIDERED BY ME AS A WU-BANGER.(BETTER THAN CAPPADONNA'S NEW ALBUM WHICH WAS DISSAPOINTING). WU-TANG AS LOTS OF JOINTS SURPOSSED TO COME OUT SOON INCLUDING KILLARMY IN JUNE BOBBY DIGITAL AND GHOSTFACE NEW ALBUMS IN JULY. MASTA KILLA SOME TIME THIS YEAR AND NEW RAEKWON IN AUGUST. IF ALL THAT COMES OUT FOR WU YOU CAN COUNT ON WU-TANG TO BE BACK ON TOP OF THE HIP HOP GAME. I am a loyal Wu Fan and have almost every Wu CD imaginable, including this one. "Never Again" was a great song that got me interested in Remedy. I anticipated his CD and was very let down. Some of the beats are tight, but (overall) this CD IS NOT. I hate to admit that the Wu has fallen out, but this CD (along with Cappadonna's The Yin and the Yang) proves that it indeed has. I will never lose my loyality to Wu...but it has fallen out. Let us find refuge in 36 Chambers.

DAMN THIS IS GONNA BE SHORT ANS $HIT, BUT F'N BUY THIS ALBUM IF YOUR TRUE TO DA GAME WITH HIP-HOP, DON'T JUDGE WHITE RAPPERS ON EMINEM, CAUSE EMINEM SUCKS D**K, AND MOST PEOPLE KNOW THAT. REMEDY MAKES EMINEM LOOK LIKE HIS B**CH, CAUSE THATS ALL EMINEM IS... THIS ALBUM IS BUMPIN IN MY CAR EVERYDAY, AND IT WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO, CAUSE ITS ONE OF THE TIGHTEST ALBUMS OUT THERE OUTTA ALL COASTS, COP THIS CD NOW BI***'S!!!

Being a loyal hardcore fan of Wu-tang for sometime now, I've been anticipating Remedy's album since his first appearance on "The Swarm". It ain't by mainstream stadards "platinum material", but on the contrary, most of that hybrid "rmb mixed rap" out there is all monotonous and shouldn't be compared to Wutang productions. I think this album is an admirable attempt at retaining the Wutang tradition - tight rhymes, metaphors, and storytelling. The beats are straight. The material is pretty straight considering this being the first album but it is lacking in the rhyming and metorphorical department in some cuts especially in "White Boy" but it's a fresh topic. None of the cuts are near the calibur of "Never Again". Remedy has his own flavor and style of executing rhymes just as Method Man, RZA, etc do. As for comparing him to other rappers for the sake of race such as "Eminem", Remedy shows promise and is tight in his own respect, but still has ways to go. Wutang!

Genuine Article is a CD with a message for today with it's roots in history the sound track keeps you moving, great driving music!

YO! Everybody buy this CD! This is Album of the year! Every single song on this CD can easily be a HIT SINGLE!...

The lyrics are powerful and reminiscent. I love "hip hop music". "Education" brings you back to The Wall concert. This CD is real. Looking for more.

If people are wondering how or why hip hop is now the largest selling genre of music (recently surpassed country and western), this album is part of the answer. While still sending a message the songs have a beat that is infectious. Without excepton any one of these songs could be a really big hit - it is shame (for the artist) that there are so many really good songs on one album, but it is a blessing for the public. Whatever your likes, mood or whatever there is something for you on this album. Some of the songs demand to be replayed and replayed. Although not overloaded with a lot of cursing or violance (there of course is some, for isn't the name of this "The Genuine Article"? I do wish there was a clean version as this would get not only plays but support from many parents like myself who would like to play it for our children but dont want them to think tht we would expose them to such lyrics albeit, a small amount. The guest artists are fine especially the newcomers (least ways, I never heard of them before)but a whole album of just the Remedy would be very welcome. I was never that much of a fan of the Wu, and I never thought that this type of album would come from that camp but so much for a pleasant surprise and I will revisit some of the Wu's previous work. This is clearly THE BEST OF WHATS COME OUT OF WU in a long time. You do not necessarily think of a "white rapper" but just someone whose got the words and the beats down fine and happens to be white. I'm not white and I think it was great. Perhaps it is the familiarity of the first song "Education - (Pink Floyd forgive him) but it really gets you rolling into the whole album. Did I love everything? No, but I did at least like everything and loved quite a bit of it. I think we are hearing a new force to be reckoned with (now that would be a good album title) and I suspect that we will be hearing a lot more from him in the future.Listen and enjoy!!!
