Ever been to a restaurant that offers wild caught salmon? What about farm raised salmon? You know which I prefer? The fresher fish! But if both are equally fresh, then I don't care where it came from, and it boils down to price. The farm raised salmon will probably be cheaper, because artificially increasing the supply in a predictable way will lower the price due to basic economic principles.

The same principles apply to precious stones, only much more dramatically. I cannot believe I got these stones at this price, when it goes for twice as much (easily) at a store where their sapphires are "caught in the wild". The wonder of lab creation gives you a stone identical down to the molecular level of a traditional sapphire. Did I mention that this means you get a flawless, inclusion-free product? And I feel I've never seen a sapphire quite this shade of pleasing blue, like International Klein Blue or lapis lazuli. The cherry on top is the guarantee of not having to worry about possible "blood diamonds" and other jewels of similarly morally questionable origin.

This jewel is 6mm wide and only $170. It is gorgeous. I will never buy another traditional stone. Lab created forever!

My wife and I are very pleased with the sapphires - and also with Fine Jewelers customer service. This jewelry is a real bargain, so much so that we were both hesitant to place our order at first.

The first package we received contained a pair of sapphires well matched, but somewhat dark in color for our taste. However, we were able to exchange them for a pair lighter in color that more closely match the sapphires on my wife's wedding ring. Thomas at Fine Jewelers was very concerned to make sure we received a pair of earrings we loved, and made the exchange process easy and quick.

These are absolutely gorgeous and much larger than I expected. The color and clarity are excellent. They actually are the beautiful royal blue as shown and not a dark navy/black like some sapphires. I would recommend them to anyone looking for high quality gemstones. They would make a great gift for yourself or someone special.

These earrings are the perfect size and the color is a brilliant blue. My wife was incredibly happy with these and so was I. The color match is great and the facets of the stones reflect light well, giving life and fire to blue sapphires. This was a great choice and as always the shipping was right on time.

Seems somewhat of an oxymoron; I decided to order these after my daughter expressed delight that genuine gems could be created. Her pleasure was well-placed; these sapphires are clear, rich in color, obviously quite matched, and I am enjoying them. They are a nice size and the picture is pretty accurate as to the color.

My wife liked them. A little darker blue than I anticipated, but very nice.

My girlfriend has barely taken them off since I gave them to her. Great choice!

I was a little reluctant to open the package once it arrived, wondering what I had gotten myself into. The mentioned price for a beautiful pair of sapphire earrings and created ones at that, left me dubious. But I was pleasantly surprised to find these truly pretty earrings. They're just the right size and the stones were perfectly matched. The blue of the earring is not too dark but just as described. It's almost akin to the color of regular blue jeans. Kudos to Finejewelers!

The pictures lead me to believe these earrings would be much more translucent. They are not. I would describe them as blue black.

My sweetheart gave these to me for Christmas. I really like them. They are actually bigger than what I was expecting, but they are very nice. The one small negative (why I took one star off) is they are more transparent than I was expecting. The blue in the picture is a more vibrant blue and the earrings themselves are a little less vibrant and a little more see through. Just so you know what to expect. I love them and plan on keeping them to enjoy for many years to come.
