I purchased these earrings for my wife as a surprise Valentine's gift. I decided to go with these earrings because I thought the design and gemstone were unique. Tanzanite, which was first discovered in the African nation of Tanzania, comes in shades of purple to blue. These earrings are a very pretty light purple, but the five gemstones are not perfectly symmetrical and the diamond can barely be seen. Despite this, My wife was initially happy with the $40 purchase, but one of the gemstones fell out after several months.
