Not a bad trenchcoat considering the price. I would have felt robbed if I had spent anymore than this. The description should have mentioned that this coat is made from patchwork leather. There were even a few moths having lunch on the lapel. The didn't eat much, I was able to disguise the small holes they left and kill the moths I found.

This is a beautiful soft leather coat and I must say quite a bargain for under $50.If it is 'patchwork leather' as the other gentlman said it is not that obvious..My coat is very shiney and new looking..I only wish it were a LITTLE shorter..The photo I saw made it seem as though the coat came to about your knees,but on me,the bottom hem is almost down to my ankles..Other then that it fits quite well.I will say this..The coat is rather light,and for those people living in cold weather states,it would probably not be warm enough for the dead of winter..I will probably use it as a fall/early winter coat,but of course this depens on the climate in your area..

Do people care if it's patchwork leather? Absolutely. Most aren't rude enough to mention it because they're not the ones who have to wear the thing. When I received mine, the patchwork was a rude surprise not mentioned in the advertisement. It looks as if pieces of scrap have been sewn together. That's exactly what has been done. I'm not against scraps, but I don't enjoy my patchwork quilts in leather either thank you. The coat fit terribly and smelled absolutely atrocious. The new leather smell isn't very attractive to begin with, but I believe some excess sent must have been poured onto this coat. It was unbearable. I have never had that issue before. I donated the coat to the local high school drama department the next day. Given the price, I shouldn't have been such a fool and at least it was leather. I would still give it one star for that, even if zero were an option. This coat is baggy, ugly, and cheap looking, but You get what you pay for.

Halloween is just around the next shadowy blood-spattered corner, and I had no costume. The calendar bent me over, "werewolf-style", and I was running out of time to get my witching season freak on. Also, I was *hauntingly* close to broke, and didn't have a lot of scratch to spend on my holiday outfit. So I settled for what I could get, like a vampire in the Ocean Spray aisle.

As I brainstormed costume ideas, I thought: what's the most minimal outfit possible? Clearly, it's the flasher. The entire set of instructions for constructing a flasher costume go like this: Buy trenchcoat. Remove clothes. Wear trenchcoat.

That's it. One piece, no fuss, and you pray for warm weather through the first of November. The trick is to find a cheap coat to use, and this one fits the bill perfectly. For forty bucks, I got a coat made from some macabre patchwork mess of hides. Maybe they're all from cows, sure. Maybe they're all made from skin. And maybe not -- how should I know? For all I can tell, three dozen naugas lost their skins to this thing. Or maybe it's one big guinea pig graveyard.

Don't know; don't care. All I know is, when I wear this costume to parties, all the ladies gather round to have a look.

Or to laugh at the nasty green rash this thing is giving me. Does this mean I'm allergic to chinchilla carcasses? I need a ruling over here.

I purchased this trench coat as part of a costume I am putting together. The price was right and I really didn't expect it to be leather. Surprise! It is leather.... However, when I opened the packaging yesterday I immediately was hit with a strong leather/chemical odor. In addition some of the leather stuck to itself resulting in some of the dye pulling off a small section. That didn't bother me. Remember it's only being worn as part of a costume. I hung the coat up in the closet and this morning the closet and the attached bathroom reeked with that chemical odor. The coat has been airing outside for the last four hours and as I sit here I can still smell the odor coming from the walk-in closet where it hung over night. The coat was made in China and I am a little concerned about whatever chemical residue is evaporating. For now though it will remain either outside or in an enclosed patio area for it to air out. Other than the odor, I am pleased.

I gave it as a gift for my husband for Christmas and he loves it!!!!!!!!!! Great gift ladies fir that special someone in your life!!!!!!!!!

I ordered this leather trench coat for a halloween costume. I never got to go out for halloween, but this coat is fresh! Excellent, very cool looking leather trench coat that makes me look good. Worth much more than I paid. Friends want to borrow it and when I wore it to a party, received numerous compliments for how good I looked.

This is a nice coat. The patchwork gives it a country western look. The buttons are loose but for the money!, WHO CARES!!!!

Just wondering if anyone else had a problem with this item taking a very long time to ship out? I ordered a bout a week and a half ago, and it still has not even shipped. Thats the only real downer so far

This coat is an excellent looking coat for the money I spent on it. Everywhere I go, several people complement me on the great look the coat has. It is fully lined, heavy, and has not torn anywhere. I also have the matching cowboy hat.
