My daughter received this kit as part of this month's Little Passports package, since Sam and Sofia were in Egypt. [If you've never heard of Little Passports, Google it... it's fantastic!] We thought it was a great idea, and she was very excited about excavating a treasure from the little pyramid. Well, easier said than done.

-- The tools included are terribly inadequate,
-- the strength and precision it takes to chip away at the plaster are far beyond the capacities of most young children (it was a challenge for me),
-- and it is very easy to get hurt doing it, since chunks suddenly come loose.

The treasure inside is cheap and uninteresting, particularly since both of use had largely lost our enthusiasm during the arduous process of getting it out.

Great concept, but I'm glad I didn't pay for it (separately).
