I work with severely handicapped/emotionally disturbed students; many of whom have great difficulty processing lots of information on a page etc. These puzzles are excellent as they are the shape of the country with only the name and capitol imprinted on them. The pieces are sturdy and colorful. I'm delighted with my purchase and the service I received.

This is our fifth GeoPuzzle - my son (3) LOVES them. For some reason, this puzzle is not the same quality as the others - the pieces are warped so the countries slide under one another, and the precision cutting around countries leaves something to be desired. Plus this puzzle is shaped so that most of the pieces are ocean, and as other reviewers have mentioned, the tabs fit into any hole making it very difficult to put together. Maybe it would have been better to have Mexico and Central Am as one puzzle and South Am as another? Regardless, my son has gone back to this puzzle a couple times but he just doesn't get the same excitement as he does with the other GeoPuzzles.

This is our first GeoPuzzle. I read the reviews and knew that the pieces, because they are meant to have the shape of the country, would not be interlocking. No problem. What I was surprised by was the fact that the ocean pieces, which are interlocking, are cut such that you can put a piece in the wrong place and have it look like it fits; the holes and knobs seem to be all very similar in size and placement. Additionally, some of the inside pieces have a straight edge that makes them look like they should be an edge piece. Not a big deal if you are using the picture to put the puzzle together (the ocean pieces helpfully have random boats on them so you can tell what goes where by using the picture), but if you are trying to put it together by trial and error (as we were the first time we did it) and using standard puzzle logic that straight pieces are edge pieces, you get messed up pretty quickly. So if your child will likely not use the picture, an adult should be right at hand to correct misplaced pieces until the child gets the hang of where the ocean pieces go. And as other reviewers have noted, some of the pieces are small (1 in by 1/2 in); they do lump 2 or 3 countries together into one piece in a couple of cases, and the islands are all just varying sizes of specks on the ocean pieces. Overall a good puzzle if you want a puzzle that has pieces that correspond to the shape of the country.

Would like to see more like this for all continents and countries. Too difficult for most toddlers, but good for ages 4-12.

These are such a great learning tool. I use them as a fun way to practice geography in my classroom and at home with my kids. They are made of a pretty good cardboard, nice quality.

I use these to tutor AP geogrpahy students. The puzzles help students learn location and reinforce state shapes. The kids (high school age) enjoy doing them.

My 3-year old loves South America but for some reason this puzzle doesn't engage her. Some of the other geo puzzles do, I'm not sure what it is about this one that isn't as fun.
