Editorial Reviews

This award winning documentary paints a picture of this growing sport/hobby. Geocaching (pronounced geo-cashing) is a high-tech treasure hunt where participants use a GPS to look for items hidden all over the world. It's a new and growing sport that combines the internet, global satellite positioning (GPS) technology and hiking. It's a game that some have become obsessed with where some players have logged in with many thousands of finds. Learn how the game is played as well as about the characters who live and breath Geocaching. Part of the documentary takes place at GeoWoodstock IV where Geocachers from around the world gather to socialize and to geocache. Topics include run-in's with the law, the community of players, conflicts between land managers and geocachers, as well as a look at the possible impact it is having on the environment.
