I purchased this item as a Christmas gift for my 11 year old brother in law, who recently got into geocaching. I had no idea if he would enjoy this book or not, so I was pleased that he was very excited about it! It is not a book with lots of "how-to" information, but it is a perfect place for storing your own information about all of your different finds and keeping them together in one place.

This is a pretty good log book for keeping track of your geocache finds. That's why I have two of them. It has two entries per page and some room for the hints or notes. I have taken it out in the field but find it some what cumbersome. I keep it at home and just record my finds in it. Defiantely worth the money.

This log book isn't nearly as good as I though tit would be. The pages aren't divided in any specific way... they are just blank. It could be an art book or journal if you add a different cover.

I finished reading/studing this book. Lots of usuful information for those Geocachers, but I was hopping the book would go more into detail on subjects...like exactly what programs to use on a laptop when connecting your GPS so you can see on the laptop exactly where you are and they said the map moves as your moving - Garmin.com was no help at all, I don't think they understood was I wanted. They were thinking all I wanted to do was to download caches into my GPS. I also had a hard time following the book about how to use a topo map, be nice if the book came with a simple fold out sample map we could use! OR a CD/DVD with a map on it we could print out.
