The wallet is fine but it doesn't close correctly if you put cards in all of the areas that were meant to hold cards (credit cards/ debit) so that's kind of a let down but otherwise there is nothing wrong with this wallet.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice leather quality, December 29, 2008

My husband went back to this type of wallet after a year of stuffing an over-sized wallet in his back pocket. The letter is buttery soft, smells teriffic, good quality w/o looking rugged & he can remove it from his pocket w/o his jeans hiking up.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice quality wallet, June 8, 2009

For the price, this is a great wallet. Soft and functional, it holds everything I need while maintaining a relatively thin profile. The slots on the right side are a little tight - my main credit card is in the front and I don't keep anything in the slot behind it so I can remove that credit card more easily, but this isn't a problem for me since I want to keep the profile as thin as possible and don't need a space for another card. I'd buy this wallet again and would certianly recommend it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice wallet. I use half of it., October 18, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is a great wallet if you normally keep a lot of stuff in it, but need to have a slimmer profile sometimes. I use the removable ID case when I am in office attire, as I'm a front pocket guy and the larger wallet looks silly sticking out in my the pocket of my slacks. Once I started using the more minimalist ID case, I found I can truly live without the rest of the wallet. In hindsight what I needed was an ID case with room for 4-5 extra cards. For me it's check card, credit card, health card (dental can go with it being that they are slim enough), gym card and the magnetic security card to get into my building. Cash go just go in the pocket. Keep it with your wallet when you take it out of your pants and there is really no need to keep it "inside" the wallet. Not for everyone but the minimalist thing really works better for me. Having the rest of the wallet for trips or when I need to haul more cards or cash around is nice option though, so I'm happy with the whole package.

Just got this Geoffrey Beene wallet since my Dockers trifold wallet is about 10 years old, falling apart, and starting to embarrass me when I take it out to pay for dinner. I bought this wallet mainly because of the removable pass case (so I can go out with just my ID and credit card and not a big bulky wallet). When I received the wallet, I excitedly emptied my old one and started stuffing this one. I immediately noticed that something was wrong. I have 13 bills, 2 checks, 7 plastic cards, my driver's license, and 5 business cards. I could BARELY manage to fit everything in, and when I did, the wallet looked ridiculous. First of all, it doesn't stay folded if you set it down... it immediately opens back up. Secondly, it is extremely bulky with that much in it and looks very awkward when folded. I tried putting two credit cards in the removable pass and it took a good 5-10 seconds just to take each one out again simply because it is suuuch a tight fit. I will be returning this item or giving it as a gift to someone who only carries around an ID, one credit card, and a few bucks.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Wallet for $20, May 23, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I've always been a fan of front-pocket wallets, but this is one of the best wallets I've ever owned. I needed to get better storage and this wallet was the ticket for sure. Also, it's basically two wallets in one as the ID window separates and has its own couple of credit card slots. Fantastic leather wallet and well worth any amount up to $20 or so.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good but not great, October 13, 2010

The overall quality of this wallet is very good. No complaints there.

However, if you want a slim, front-pocket wallet, you may want to keep looking. It isn't all that slim once you put a few credit cards in it. Also, because it is wide, it still bulges out of my front pocket like a trifold wallet does.

Also, one of the pictures shows the removable ID sleeve to have credit card slots on the outside. This is NOT the case. You can still use the removable ID sleeve as an ultra-slim wallet by itself, but the sleeve only has two ID slots for storage and nothing else. Perhaps the picture is of an older model?

I gave it four stars because it is a well-made wallet, but it is not as slim as it appears.

The leather is soft and the removable "mini-wallet" is really useful when you don't want to carry the cards that you don't regularly need. What can I say? It's a nice wallet.
