Despite the fact that the book is rather old (1997) it covers efficiently a considerable number of issues on GIS and Computer Cartography. I found it very useful and I recommend it to all those who want to get into the field.
It is evident that a new edition is required to cover the recent developments i.e. Open systems, Internet GIS and Location Based Services.
