I ordered this book to use in my gifted academic program. We are doing a unit on rocks and minerals called Let's Rock! I needed some ideas for younger students who have not been exposed to geology before and this book did the trick. It has some great ideas for activities.

This book is wonderful! We are a homeschool family and we have used this book for a few weeks and love it! Its very good to throw in with lapbooks and other books to learn in a unit study approach! I like the ease of just buying this book and being able to scan it for my kids(3 of them) and us all learn together! Its got some fun activites for the kids too! Overall I am very pleased with this book! I love Evan Moor publishers anyway so this time they did not let me down! I have just purchased 2 other titles! Can't wait to study them as well :)

I like Evan Moor products. They have fun & informative hands on lessons as well as reproducibles. I may get the e-book next time so I can just print items off instead of having to go to the copy shop. This book was a little less informative than others so you may need additional resources but if you want the basics this is a good start.
