While this is very basic and brief, I took it with me on a field trip. It was so light and convenient to grab and helpful. I have numerous Pocket Naturalist Guides and they're fine for what they're intended for - a quick accessible reference.

it did not cover some of the rocks & minerals more common to the state
of oregon. i was looking for something more helpful for oregon such as
common opal, opal, agates, and gem stones ect. and understould it was a
book not a folding deal . it is real limted thing not a book witch i was
expecting.
