I have had two private discernments with George Anderson and can attest to the absolute validity and truth of George's gift of mediumship and his awareness of the Other Side. This book is a "must read" for anyone who is looking for peace in this life or is wondering about how to move their own life forward "into the Light" on the earth and in the afterlife. Questions about the existence of souls in spirit form are answered. Issues of suicide, murder, death of children, terminal illness, acts of violence, the grief process, the existence of animals on the Other Side, how we pass over, and what the Other Side is like, are all discussed by George with great insight--and with compassion and love. If you want to know the best available REAL and definitive information about the afterlife, and how you can change your life now on the earth, to live out of the Light now, buy this book. George discusses our Life Review, how we see all of the things in our life after we pass over (both good and not so good). He truly gives the reader a blueprint for a life on the earth and a life of spirit in the afterworld. After reading this book, I now ask myself, whenever I want to decide something, "Do I want to see this in my Life Review on the Other Side--or not?" I recommend this book most highly for one's self and for a gift for friends who are in pain about loss or are skeptics. I can personally say that George and his knowledge of the Other Side are the REAL THING. This book, and the three former books about him by Martin and Romanowski, can bring much peace and comfort to the bereaved and to anyone wanting to know more about the continuity of the life after death in a life of spirit form, or about how to live in the Light of spirit life now on the earth.

I have experienced a terrible loss in my life recently and I was lost to every day life here on earth.It was suggested to me to read We Don't Die-which I did and got so much comfort that I read the rest of the series of books with George Anderson's in-put.I couldn't wait to recieve Lessons from the Light when it became available and I have to say for anyone who wants to choose just one of the books with messages from George Anderson-this by far is the best.There are no words to describe the comfort and sense of peace I have gotten from reading Mr. Anderson's words.I strongly recommend this book to anyone who has the question"so what's next? "

My sister and I had a reading in the summer of 98 via phone with Mr. Anderson that changed my life. I was very cynical in the belief of life after death since the passing of my mother 4 years ago. I had seen countless psychics and mediums, and none impressed me at all. That is until Mr. Anderson. The only way he could have told us the things he did was if he was truly in communication with my mother, and I have no doubts that she was there.... George Anderson has reaffirmed my belief that there is more to this world and that there is indeed an afterlife. He is much more impressive that James Van Praagh, and I like Mr. Anderson more because he is less showy and has a terrific sense of humor. By all means read this book, it will change your life. If you've lost someone dear, it will comfort you tremendously.

Call it what you like, but this book put itself right back into my hands at a time in my life when I really needed it. While all around me were into some really fanatical religionism and others were just angry atheists trying to get me to agree with them, this book found its way back into my life and gave me back hope and taught me how strong love is in our lives.
I bought this book over 5 years ago for my grandmother, who was a voracious spiritual reader and had shared many books with me. I had not even remembered buying it for her.
She recently went into a retirement home and had wanted me to have all her books. My aunt started sending me one box at a time, and this book was in the first box that arrived and was on top.
I took it out with some curiosity but had not remembered it at all. Inside I had written a note to my grandmother that I thought it was a book she would love.
I started to read it one night late, and it became my friend for about 2 weeks. Every night, I would take it out when the house was quiet and read it until very late.
It began to change me. I would go to sleep at night, thinking about the fact that my father was not really gone, and that my other grandmother was still close by.
I lost my father in 1990. I lost his mother in 1992, and my other grandmother (the one I had given this book to) was close to death. The grief and fear just overwhelmed me to the point where I couldn't understand anything at all.
I was also struggling with the impending death of a little dog that I have loved more strongly than any other pet. This book helped me to relax and know that I'll see her again, and that I'll get to be with her always.
I just couldn't fathom the kind of God my daughter was preaching to me..one that punishes us severely for making mistakes when we don't understand what the consequences are or we're just weak. I couldn't understand why if He loved us so much - would he condemn us to a fiery place where we could never be near Him again.
After all, those of us who have had children who stomped on us have forgiven everything and loved them with all our hearts. If we have loved this strongly and forgiven so readily, why couldn't a God?
His observations in the chapter about pets really gave me peace that Katrina and I won't be separated.
While writing this review, I never meant to get into religion or a debate, so please don't take it that way. It was the only way I could describe something magical that happened to me and hope it helps someone else who is going through something similar. After all, we are all so much alike in many ways.

Thanks so much, George, for having the courage to write the book that brought me out of dark grief and fear.

When a dear friend of mine lost her 15 year old daughter 10 years ago, we both began searching for answers and we read the first two books about Mr. Anderson eagerly and found both answers and comfort. When I lost my beloved dad 6 years ago, I happened to be invited to a local TV talk show by the same friend to see George Anderson. Somehow, even though we were very late, we were squeezed in and during an open session, the "someone " who recently lost a loved one was narrowed down to me! It was short but yet he touched on the most important aspects of my father and through my tears I was most grateful. I had taped the show and my mother and brothers were astounded at what they saw. I recently experienced a suicide in my family that has devastated all of us and once again I turned to George Anderson's latest, and I think best, book. This book is excellent. It really can help anyone to try to understand and cope with the unthinkable...the unbearable loss of a loved one. I am sending my mother a copy of this book because I know it will bring her as much comfort and acceptance as it has brought me.

I just lost my daugther in july of 99, she was nine years old. I am still having a hard time with her being gone. She was a special needs child and her Love was very unconditional which made it very hard to let her go because she taught us so much on how people should live and love without judgement. She kept our family together with her Love. We recived this book from my sisterinlaw for Christmas. It has been a great help and comfort for me knowing that she isn't along and that her spirit lives on without the reistraints her body and mind had here on earth. I would just like to THANK George Anderson for the help he has given so many lost people who are left behind.

The book was very helpful to me in my grief journey. I have had three private reading with Geo Anderson and I know that he has a special gift from God. My daughter committed suicide five years ago and she is mentioned in the chapter on suicide. This book gave me more of an understanding of what its like to be on the other side. I am an incredible skeptic when it comes to mediums. I have seen some real winners out there who have been debunked over and over, such as James von Praague, but George Anderson is legit.

To give some background on this guy before I go into the book, I have seen George Anderson in action and find him believable to the point of amazing. When he speaks to the dead, he insists on not getting any feedback from the person he is speaking to -- simply yes or no answers only and he goes into great detail about the loved ones who have moved on. But that isn't the part that is phenomenal... George has a habit of giving people "gifts" from the deceased. One event in particular I remember would be when he was on the Howie Mandel show and he was councelling a Jewish man (Howie's producer,) about his deceased mother. He then pulled out a very unique small box with designs on it that was apparently Orthodox-Jewish and told him that it was from his mother who wanted to prove to him that she was there. The man was shocked and said that his mother owned one exactly like it when she was alive. Howie went on to say that when he met George Anderson he was surprised when George blurted out: "Your dad says that you should be taking your pills." Howie explained that no one knew about these pills he stopped taking and it was impossible that George knew it -- he believed that his father really did tell him through George.

This guy is not like the other mediums you've seen. His biography alone is phenomenal as this mediumship was something he's had for a long time. He was mistaken for mentally disturbed and almost forced into an insane asylum but was rescued by a doctor when George blurted out a phrase in Hebrew (George is Catholic) that only the doctor's grandmother knew. The doctor had him released and told his family that George wasn't insane, but very, very gifted.

In this book, George not only speaks of what happens to the dead but information for us to follow while we're here on earth as well as explainations to specific issues such as religious differences and why they exist, reincarnation and terminal illness.

His book was an incredible comfort for my family when we lost my father to cancer. In fact, we read it aloud when he was dying and "felt" that he was receiving great comfort. George taught me a lot in his work. And I now know this: I miss my father dearly, but I do not wish that he was still here. Why? Because he's in a much better place than we are and why would I want to take him away from that?

This book is a great comfort. I recommend it to all of you who have lost someone or are currently losing someone. God bless.

I can't say enough good things about this book. I know how profound grief can be after losing a loved one or even a pet that I've had a "special" connection to. Getting past the grief isn't easy, and the ageless response, "I gets easier with time . . ." makes me wonder who's fooling who? My eyes still swell when I think of those who've passed on, and the grief is as fresh as yesterday, even thirty years later. I like giving this book as a gift, to friends who are going through troubling times or who have lost their perspective on life. This book HELPS, it reaches down to the deepest part of one's soul and shines a light of HOPE, that everything will be okay . . . just take one day at a time. I've noticed a positive change in the people I've given this book to. It has also helped me, in my saddest hours. There is wisdom, love, forgiveness and comfort in the words of this book. I highly recommend this book for those stricken with grief, or who are going through difficult times.

I love this book because it is a compilation of true stories from various families.

Mr. George Anderson displays his own preferences and style when communicating for the departed. He does not like the word "reading." Rather, he calls the communication "discernment." We can tell that he is very precise on his profession.

Mr. George Anderson also emphasizes that the most common manifestation besides the visitation in dream states is the smell. I found it fascinating because when I did research for the book I coauthored, Angelic Force, I also found the similar phenomena.

Mr. Angerson honestly talks about his view of reincarnation. It is quite enlightening to the readers because it is indeed his deep feelings after these years of working with the spirits. Take this amusing yet sincere pagragraph as an example:
"The thing that frightens bereaved people the most is the fear that their child, spouse or parent will reincarnate before they themselves get to the hereafter. This is not the case. Imagine arriving in the hereafter only to be told, 'Sorry, your wife just reincarnated five minutes ago.' While it sounds funny, it is a very real concern of the bereaved. The hereafter has told me with certainty that this does not happen. It takes eons, I have been told, for the souls to come to such a point of spiritual understanding that they decide to return to the earth and live through another set of spiritual lessons. Because we travel in these large 'families' to and from the earth, the souls that are in the hereafter will wait until everyone has returned before even considering the decision to return to the earth. It could also take a few lifetimes on earth for the process to happen. Also, the rush to leave the hereafter is not as great as it sounds. Many still remember fully well how difficult it was here and are not in a hurry to leave, unless returning to the earth would be the best way to experience a certain spiritual lesson. In any event, they promise us they will be there to greet us when it is our time to pass."

In my opinion, the sincerity of this book is the factor which moves readers tremendously.
