1.0 out of 5 stars Typical trash -- the book, not the family.
Cover to cover lib slice and dice, lib trash-attitude, usual partial research. Critical of Bush supporting the Nazis, but no mention of IBM, etal hands (and wallets) involvement? And, a chapter for Bush as a WW2 war hero, then entirely sidestepping 1945 Flyboys Chichi-jima events? A terrific read for those entertained by bash-bent libs.

The Bush family has spent millions projecting an image of 'down home' folks whose only concerns are 'faith' and 'family'. It's a pretty picture, but the authors of this book affirm that it is only an image. They are wolves in sheep clothing.

Since the days of their association with Hitler, the Bush family is only interested in power. However they get it and however they can keep it is the only thing which really matters to these people. Their obligatory talks about 'morals'...etc are just put in to give the illusion of caring about democracy. If they had their own way, the Bush family would have all of us living under a dictatorship.

This book is vastly different from most of the anti-Bush texts which flood the market. It eschews cheap shots to instead bring serious evidence against America's reigning monarchy. It also explains how Junior's 'bumblings' are only the more public versions of what daddy did dating back from his job as CIA head. Insteaad of being embarassed...etc the Bush family is actually proud of his actions!

5.0 out of 5 stars Pre-Requisite to Any Further Understanding of American History, September 8, 2005
By
cvairag (Allan Hancock College) - See all my reviews
(VINE VOICE)
Tarpley's massive and insightgful history of the rise of the Bush family to power and prominence - should be required reading for every high school (yeah - PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL) American history course - as it is for every sincere student of our nation's destiny - and yet, we may likely die dreaming that it someday will be. Well, if we can't seemingly do anything about the problem - at the least, we can get educated about what really happened in America over the past century - and why.
The pinnicle of Tarpley's achievement is that through the meticulous sorting of a myriad of research, the psychological portrait of 'Poppy' Bush emerges - a tragic and disturbing figure - obsessed with a seemingly confused and distorted self-justifying version of patriotism - driven by a primal fear of personal failure - and, lest it never be said by any but the eloquent Tarpley - unmitigated guilt. Yet, to Tarpley's credit, the evidence is weighed sagely, without cant, without spin, and the facts are set forth to testify.
What sets Tarpley's classic biography apart is the richness of the narrative and the precision of the investigation. The details of how Nixon found his way into political power from obscurity in a few years - How the Bush family did as much for the Nazis (before, during, and after WWII) as they ever have done for the Republicans (the root ideological distinctions between the two parties seems as blurred now as ever) - and many other gordian mysteries of modern American history are deftly unravelled and spelled out in coherent fashion.
Whether you agree with him or not, you must take your issues to the facts themselves - and no one has marshaled them in the detail which Tarpley did way back in 1992 - and from thence, justify your conclusions.
Better yet, you can read at least some of Tarpley on the net. Although as an investment, the hard copy may appreciate in value one day, not merely as a historical narrative, but as a bona fide historical document in its own right. That is, if rights, are to be part of our future.
Thank you Tarpley for your courage, your perseverance, and your love for America. A writer of the highest order - amazingly, waiting to be discovered by most readers.

5.0 out of 5 stars I never imagined what we were dealing with., December 23, 2005
This review is from: George Bush the Unauthorized Biography (Illus) (Paperback)
Before reading the book I just though that GHWB was some bumbling a**-kisser who wanted to be president. But now I know that we are dealing with a multi-generational family of scum whose loyalty in no way is to the USA or the American people. I know now that they traded with the Nazis during the war. I've learned that there actually are people who haven't gotten over the Revolutionary War. It's just incredible how much information is in this book, well presented, and totally believable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Yes There are Really Conspiracies!, February 14, 2003
By
William Hare (Seattle, Washington) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: George Bush the Unauthorized Biography (Illus) (Paperback)
If it walks like a conspiracy, talks like a conspiracy, and acts like a conspiracy, it is very possible that we might have a conspiracy. The apologists of the status quo, particularly the Bushies and the corporate establishment to which they are beholden, seek to ridicule books like this and say they are all part of an absurd conspiracy syndrome. What they fervently hope is that you will not dare read them. Had enough Americans read this sizzler it is entirely possible that Bush Junior's forces may not have been close enough on election night to remain within stealing distance of the presidential election, finally achieved through the legal prostitution of Federal Society cronies, including one subservient Uncle Tom with a penchant for Rush Limbaugh, namely Clarence Thomas.

When you read this book you wonder long and hard about whether this was really such an unfortunate coincidence that Bush Sr. in his mudslinging 1988 campaign had ardent Nazis working in his minorities division. It was only when Congressman Stephen Solarz and others sniffed the foul odor and rose up in indignation that the elder Bush expressed dismay and dismissed the miscreants, expressing shock in the process.

Just rewind from 1988 to Tarpley's analysis of how the Bush family got rolling in the banking business, with juicy contracts with the Nazis and strengthening of the Third Reich war machine through loans and subsequent sales for pig iron. Then there was that strange society that still remains, and which Poppy and Junior both belonged to at Yale, along with William F. Buckley Jr., "Skull and Bones." Just a few harmless fraternity pranksters? I doubt it. Check out the records of the members through the years and observe all the hellish havoc they have reeked on America and throughout various portions of the world. It all happened by accident? Hardly. Yes, well, it might actually be a conspiracy! But conspiracies don't exist. Ask any loyal Bushie.

This book has become an underground classic and rightfully so. Its author knows literally where certain bodies are buried vis-a-vis the Bush clan and is not afraid to reveal the facts. Thank God there are a few people out there like Tapley who will not be intimidated and continue to speak the truth no matter what the potential consequences might be.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mindblowing, February 23, 2005
By

This review is from: George Bush the Unauthorized Biography (Illus) (Paperback)
I first encountered this book in the early 90's when subscribing to the LaRouche run newspaper "The New Federalist." The book was reviewed and advertised within it's pages along with the pages of the Schiller Institute's "Fidelio" magazine. As a young person who questions, and moreover, had reservations about the Bush family's legitimacy as leaders, this book became a godsend. This book is a masterpiece of research and "yes" does have an agenda. That agenda being to expose certain realities to our country's past, the Bush family's, that of secret societies, etc. This book obviously has critics. I mean let's face it, they're still in power. But this book did it's best to make a statement or propose an arguement for why our country could do better for itself and for the world at large. Regardless of it's flaws, or even those of the various Bush's, this book is cause for reflection and is worthy of anyone who claims to think for themselves.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unique, February 28, 2007
Undoubtedly the best book, by far, on George H. W. Bush and the Bush dynasty that money can buy. Many years ago, I paid $300 for a copy of the first edition and it was worth every penny. If by chance you're an American who can put your country before your political party for five minutes, I strongly suggest you use those five minutes to take advantage of the Search Inside function. It really doesn't matter what page of this book you end up on, you'll find documentation proving beyond any reasonable doubt that the George H. W. Bush family epitomizes the word evil.

During the "Reagan and Bush Sr. administrations", the dengue hemorrhagic fever was introduced, affecting about 344,203 persons, with the record case of 11,400 who fell ill in a single day-July 6, 1981 (Freedom of Information Act).

It wasn't that long ago that Bush bashing was one of the loneliest jobs in the world. Now, if you're not careful, you'll get trampled under by the mindless sheep, media leeches and politicians who are trying to distance themselves from Bush and America's Dachau--Abu Ghraib and the Iraqi holocaust.

I'm a registered Republican who has been on the federal government's payroll since 1958. I personally know what Mr. Tarpley has gone through; but believe me, it could have been a lot worse. He is extremely fortunate to still be alive. And even though his efforts on our country's behalf have fallen short of what he was trying to accomplish, I don't know of any American more deserving of our recognition and gratitude than this author.

4.0 out of 5 stars Riveting and More Relevant than Ever, June 8, 2006
By
I found the online version of this book early this year (linked to a web site about fascism) and was riveted. Everything Tarpley discusses in this book about the Bush family and their nazi-supporting buddies is more relevant now than ever.

If you are becoming confused with the information overload that is the 9/11 truth movement and geopolitical bombardment, you can trust Tarpley to tell you what's really going on.

Listen to his radio program on Saturday afternoons on RBN Live to put the latest pieces together. Then, get active.

5.0 out of 5 stars A demonography, July 15, 2006
By
Luc REYNAERT (Beernem, Belgium) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
The authors explain the life and times of president G.Bush I as a man who is a major chess piece in the network of the mighty investment bank Brown Brothers Harriman and the freemason lodge `Skull and Bones'.
The authors sketch a dark picture of an oligarch in the Platonic sense: G. Bush as a scion of a wealthy patrician family, born to reign over the `democratic masses'.

Politically, G. Bush was implicated in the Iran-Contras scandal, the Panama and first Iraq invasions, the replacement of Formosa (Taiwan) by the PR of China (negotiating lucrative deals for his friends). He buried the investigation into the Hinckley (a brother of a friend of one of his sons) shooting of President Reagan.

Economically, he defended his friends in the Pennzoil-Texaco trial about the take-over of Getty Oil. He saved the NCBC (NationsBank) from bankruptcy by `massive favors and graft at the expense of the tax payer'. He relentlessly intervened on behalf of the oil cartels for their ground-tax privileges and oil depletion allowances. His war on drugs was only `rhetorical'.

Ideologically, the authors state that he sided with those propagating population control, eugenics, race science and the `inferiority' of the blacks.

Personally, they stress his mental instability and his `boundless lust for power'.

Original but important is their analysis of the Watergate scandal. For them it is a coup d'état, instrumental in laying the basis for an authoritarian-totalitarian regime, not less than a rearrangement of the dominant institutions of the US government in favor of the intelligence communities.
Nixon was dumped for his inability to manage the collapse of the dollar. However, as W. Engdahl explains in his magisterial book `A century of Wars', the subsequent oil crisis and the colossal oil price hike in 1973 catapulted the dollar and the US financial institutions again at the zenith of wealth power.

This extremely well researched book (no libel suit!) constitutes a major information source and a must read for all those interested in US history.

4.0 out of 5 stars Incredible expose' of 20th Cent. oligarchy; too opinionated, January 20, 2003
By
S. A. Felton (southern OR USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: George Bush the Unauthorized Biography (Illus) (Paperback)
This unauthorized biography of the Bush family, really the
Bush-Harriman-Rockefeller, etc., establishment, is from what I know
by far the best expose' of the way the US-UK governments have
been pretty much taken over by these rich, powerful families and their
networks, which encompass and pervade the entire spectrum of government,
intelligence, corporations; in short, just about every aspect of society.
Certainly that is why the book is out of print, exceedingly [costly]
to obtain, but ... it is possible
to download it by searching the Internet.

The book is timeless and timely in the sense that no one can
understand the groups who are behind our leaders w/o knowing the
persons and organizations who run the world overtly and covertly, and
their history. (A relatively short book that can provide a worthy
backdrop for this study is "The Anglo-American Establishment," by Prof.
Carroll Quigley). It is really an understatement to say that this tome
provides names and details I doubt you will find anywhere else. You may
have read "sound bytes" about some of the topics covered, and sundry
unsubstantiated allegations of this or that, but in these 600+ pages
you get, for the most part, the cold, hard facts.

The chapters covering the elitist residents of Jupiter Island, FL,
the extensive (Prescott) Bush-Harriman dealings with the Nazis (to the
point of even helping to defeat their opposition), Skull and Bones
(a Who's Who of prominent leaders since its inception in 1833), Watergate,
Iran-Contra, the Savings and Loan collapse and bailout, and more, are
so well-researched, thorough, coherent, and full of key events, names, and
dates it boggles the mind, and it's hard to overdo praising the authors
for their exacting, painstaking research. I've read many books that
try to discuss maybe one or two of the topics discussed in this biography,
but do little more than present a maze of data that confuses more than
clarifies. The authors write with what seems to be first-hand, insider
knowledege, and indeed to the point the father of one of the authors was
a lawyer who fought the Bush-Harriman (along with the Warburg banking
family) support for Hitler prior to WWII.

People who reject ...a theory a priori would be faced with a
monumental challenge to refute at least most of this biography. In
tracing George Bush's multi-faceted, long career in public life, his
initial losses running for Congress followed by later successes in
obtaining elected and unelected positions, the authors also demonstrate
very convincingly that behind the scenes there often is practically no
difference between Republicans and Democrats, and that what obviously
counts is to realize who or what has the real power and is thus making
the crucial decisions and pulling the strings.

My one complaint about the authors is their one-pointed agenda to find
nothing but negative things to say about Bush. It was clear why: they
were (and still are) associates of Lyndon LaRouche, a tireless foe of
Bush, whom the latter had imprisoned shortly after he became President in
1989. Also, the book was written shortly before Bush ran for reelection
in 1992, and they wanted to help defeat Bush. But I felt that they made
too much of Bush's hyperthyroidism, his so-called liberalism (which I
could only rarely follow), and found every opportunity to critize his
gaffs, frenetic activity, and emotional outbursts, while finding nothing
to laud. To me the book would have been "perfect" had they just stuck
with providing the extraordinary amount of details on Bush and the other
controlling persons/entities. Still, this unauthorized biography is a
classic for history buffs, absolutely a must-read to understand the
politics of the 20th century, and surely even what is going on even
today. In fact as I write this review there have been widely read
articles in mainstream publications about the "new" (Anglo-)American
empire!

5.0 out of 5 stars Empire, February 18, 2006
By
lannys9 (Sisseton SD) - See all my reviews
If you would like to see how the current empire being practiced by the United States government and big business came into being and was refined over a period of many years and who is it's ultimate godfather, this book is a must read. GHW Bush manipulated the presidency for more than the four years that he served in that capacity. For all practical purposes, he has been running this country at least since 1980 except for the Clinton years, and one could surmise that with the the investigations of Clinton for a full 8 years that he was also behind that. When his oldest son is finished with his 8 years, can Jeb be far behind?
