The nonstick bun warmer draws heat from the grill and can be used while food is grilling or by itself. (The entire unit, grill and bun warmer, turns on by plugging in the power cord.) The warmer heats a burger's bun as well as other bread items, including English muffins, tortillas, pita bread, sliced bagels, and croissants. Because the grill is nonstick, cleanup is a snap: just a quick scrape with a plastic spatula (included) and a quick wipe with a paper towel or a sponge. --Fred Brack

I bought mine recently and LOVE it! I'm a single person who normally eats out of the microwave and get impatient when it takes more than 5 minutes for some dishes. But I do love to cook but ran out of time with my job nowadays and this does the perfect job of allowing me to cook quickly and clean up just as quickly. I'm very happy with mine! Of note, some people are bothered by the small size. It's just me so it's perfect and possibly perfect for 2 people. Get a bigger size if you cook for a lot of people.

Cooks like a gourmet chef, cleans like a champ,

I must admit, I was not a fan of the George Foreman Grill when it was introduced. The concept seemed ludicrous, like those old hot dog cookers that "electrocuted" the dogs to cook them. Or the SnackMaster, which claimed you could make fresh pies in minutes with two slices of bread and a can of filling (all you really got was a hot, gooey mess). I couldn't believe George's "wundergrill" would be any better. In fact, I figured it had to be worse.I was so wrong. The George Foreman Grill delivers everything it promises, and then some. It cooks foods fast, with relatively low mess, and the taste is wonderful. The heat sears the outside, creating those delicious, carmelized grill marks. But the cooking is so quick, the insides don't get dried out or tough. And greasier meats, like hamburger or sausage, really do drain off, just as George promises (the only negative comment I would make is about the design of the grease-trapping trays, which are not built-in, but separate pieces; if positioned wrong, you can drain grease onto the counter). I cook frozen salmon on mine--its out of this world, and better than what most restaurants serve. The convenience of the grill is the big selling point for me. Small, easy-to-clean, and easily stored in a cabinet, it comes out only when I need it (though it is attractive enough to sit next to the toaster or coffee maker in larger kitchens). It really is portable; one of my co-workers brings his to the office to grill hot dogs for lunch. The addition of the colored lids only increases the appeal of the George Foreman Grill. Now, color-coding with the rest of the kitchen is a snap. What was already a great product is now even better.

This little appliance is the greatest invention since the toaster! I received one for my 45th birthday. I was VERY skeptical. Oh gosh, "another appliance to stick in the cabinet." It sat on the counter and I stared at it for three weeks. Then I tried it. I now use it, at minimum, 4-5 times a week. It cooks any type of meat or poultry in 8-12 minutes; fish takes even less time. Chicken breasts, steaks, sliced pork loin, sausage patties, hamburgs, sliced veggies, salmon steaks -- you name it. Everything cooks to perfection. I don't understand the other reviewers who have said the meat is undercooked on the inside and black on the outside. Can't they read the timing chart in the Instruction Book? One tip: don't try to cook anything TOO thick: 1-2" works best. It's great with marinated meats and poultry. And try "rubs" as well. Barbeque sauce is okay, but a bit of a clean-up. However, cleaning this machine is a snap. Use a dry paper towel first, then a wet sponge (no soap!) -- keep the drip pan in place, then another paper towel. Takes about 3 mins. When you pre-heat it again for the next use, it's going to kill off any germs/bacteria that might remain. It gets easier to clean the more you use it. No, it doesn't make stuff taste like it came off a charcoal grill outside. But the meat has a great flavor, stays juicy, and no oven to bother with (not to mention pans). For a single person, this appliance is a must! I can cook a really healthy meal now in less than 15 mins.
