This 800-watt grill is another variant of the popular George Foreman Lean Mean Fat-Reducing Grilling Machine. Its appeal lies in its simplicity and countertop convenience--not to mention its fat-fighting ability. The double-sided grill (with nonstick cooking surface) is large enough to simultaneously cook two burgers, steaks, or chicken breasts--or lots of sausage, fish, shrimp, or vegetables--on the top and bottom in minutes. (Recipes accompany the grill.) Grill marks not only look appetizing but also contribute caramelized flavor. The bottom grill's deep channels collect fat, and the grill is sloped so the fat runs off into a dishwasher-safe plastic tray (included) stationed under the unit's front. The top grill's hinge floats to accommodate foods of varying thickness. A 3 pack of specially designed grill sponges are included as a bonus.

Best for one person,

I bought it for $10 a few years ago. This is great if you can "cook" at work. Just throw a frozen hamberger patty and you have something to eat in 10 mins. But the surface is really small, so you can only cook small quantity at a time. Also cleaning is not as easy as they say. You can't throw it in the dishwasher. The grill outside gets sticky from the greasy fume so in that respect it takes more work to clean. Inside is pretty much wiping off the juice and the residue but I use soapy water and a sponge so I have to do that a few times as well. If you are single, live in a bachelor/studio or stove-less environment like a student, this is a great addition to a microwave.

Many friends had told me this was a great product but I had my reservations. Finally I bought one. My husband and I both love it. We use the enclosed recipe book for ideas. Chicken is tender. Panini (our ordinary grilled cheesese have been upgraded ;) ) are delicious. Easy to use for a quick hot lunch or dinner.
It only fits one sandwich or chicken breast at a time, but I can fit two burgers. I like the smaller size because it is easier to store. Cleaning is the area that I won't rave about. It is not that difficult, but it takes more than throwing it in the dishwasher (which you can't do). To clean the outside I spray with windex when it is cool. I GOT A GREAT TIP TO CLEAN THE INSIDE: As soon as you are finished cooking, unplug the grill and put a damp paper towel in the grill. After you are finished eating the food will be ready to just wipe off with another piece of paper towel. I HIGHLY recommend this product, but if you have a large family I would suggest getting a bigger one. This one is great for singles and couples.

Thin-sliced chicken cutlets cook flawlessly within a couple of minutes. Steaks cook to perfection, while retaining their natural juices.
I've grilled raw potato chunks tossed in olive oil and onion and garlic powder. Delicious. I've cooked vegetables on this grill. This grill easily makes a hearty meal for two people. Hamburgers take a fraction of time to cook compared to my outdoor gas grill. They are excellent. Cooking one burger? Toss a thick onion slice on the other side of the grill. I easily fit two burgers on this grill, as well as two small chicken breasts. Nothing sticks. If you wipe the grill down while it's hot, you'll never have to scrub, not even BBQ sauces that love to cling to metal surfaces. Clean up is even easier with the plastic grill cleaning provided, so don't lose yours like I did mine. If you can't clean the grill right away, plug it back in later until it gets warm. The burnt stuff will soften and wipe away with a cloth or sponge. It's an excellent purchase for people who like to grill food when it's snowing or raining outside.
