very good stuff,

I'll admit that I was skeptical. Had my roommate not brought one home, I never would have tried it. However, now that I've tried two versions of the grill I can say w/ all confidence that this is a great product. Why? Speed. Appetizing grill marks. Even cooking temperature. It's just that easy. I love fish, but hate to broil it (takes too long), microwave it (ewww), or pan sear it (uneven cooking temp, don't like the taste or look of the finished product). One day I decide to plop in a chicken breast just to see how the machine works. Maybe ten minutes later I pulled out a hot, nicely grilled, evenly cooked meal. Yum. Next I tried fish. Even better! Salmon filets are nicely marked w/ grill lines and perfectly cooked w/ the inside of the filet still moist. This particular model addresses one of the major issues of it's lesser mates. The hinge floates and that is really important if you have a rounded breast of chicken or uneven fish filet. I don't know about the bun warmer business as I don't use it, but it does lend an i-mac hipness to an otherwise staid looking appliance. Right up there w/ the microwave in terms of convenience. Enjoy in good health.

I'm not a big fan of spending time in the kitchen, so I love the way I can just plug my George Foreman grill in, throw some food on it, and be done in a few minutes. It's also a lot healthier than microwave cooking; just watch the fat drop into the plastic drip pan. Finally, since it cooks top and bottom, there's no need to turn over your food. Great for burgers, chicken, steaks, ham, quesadillas, etc.I only wish it was dishwasher safe!

I identify myself as a person who doesn't like to spend too much time in the kitchen. I bought the foreman grill to reduce the amount of time I would have to spend in the kitchen to cook a home-cooked meal. In many ways, this grill has accomplished just that. I tried cooking a medium-sized chicken breast on the grill last night. I made several observations: The chicken breast stays flat on the grill, and doesn't slide down, but you have to hold there for an instant. If you don't cut the chicken up into smaller pieces, or if you don't make pre-cuts in the chicken before-hand, the grill won't cook the inside of the chicken properly. The outsides had those charred marks, but the inside was very pink. It seems that one side of the grill cooks more efficiently and faster than the other side. The grill is relatively easy to clean. Right after you finish cooking the meat, unplug the grill and wait a few minutes for the grill to be semi-warm and then wipe the surface with a damp paper towel. You should be able to pick up most of the gunk on the grill. The grill does get very hot on the surface above the grill. The only surface on the grill that you can touch with your barehands is probably the very top edge (plastic-coated). The chicken meat when I was finished came out relatively dry on the outside, but was very juicy on the inside. Considering that this was one of my first tries in cooking chicken (on any cooking device for that matter) I think that the grill is relatively child's play. The bun warmer cover shouldn't fall off if you have it properly closed. I constantly opened and closed my grill to check on my chicken and the cover did not fall off repeatedly as some reviewers have said. I imagine their unit might have had a defect? There is a bit of smoke that comes from the grill, and like a charcoal grill, will make your clothes smell afterwards. I recommend operating the unit over the stove and turning the fan on. Got this grill on sale for $24 and I believe that it was well worth it. I hate to wash oven pans b/c of the grease that coats the surface. I hate to clean pots and frying pans b/c of the oil build-up, but with only one surface to clean; the foreman grill is very quick and efficient for the college student.

Cover breaks easily.,

This grill works well, but if you leave it on too long the heat cracks the metal fittings and melts some of the plastic. I lifted the cover so I could clean the grill and it seperated from the grill. I had the plastic top with wires haning in my hand and the grill still closed on the counter. What can I say, you get what you pay for. I threw away my reciept never expecting it to disintigrate like this, so I couldn't return it.When it's in tact it works great. Makes great panninis and grilled cheese sandwiches. But it could have burned me if I had picked it up differently. Use with caution. P.S.

This is a fantastic grill. When you use this grill all the food you cook on it will taste delicious. When cooking on this grill all the fat from your food just drains out into the little dish that comes with it. My family really loves grilling their foods now. When you use this grill your food cooks in half the time it will take you to cook on a stove or the oven. I highly recommend this product to everyone...and it also comes in great different colors also. I give thumbs up to you George Forman..way to go champ!!!...

First let me counter the previous reviewer:
1) What's to explain? you plug it in, put your food on it and wait. Orange light means it's on..duh. 2) Only one Foreman grill has an on/off switch..minor inconvienence and I'd rather unplug it then forget to turn it off. 3) You failed to heed warning not to force the lid closed no doubt. 4) Fits 2 6oz burgers just fine. 5) Idea is to "drain the fat". That's teh POINT of the grill to remove that disgusting grease from teh burgers, etc. If they are too dry, you're overcooking them or using 73% lean beef..lol. I've used this about 4 times since I got it a week or so ago. Couple times for burgers, once for chicken and once for hotdogs. - Frozen burgers cook in about 8 mins. The grease catch nearly fills...but the burgers still have flavor and juicy. Just don't over cook them...that's when they dry out. - Chicken cools fast, but does stick more then beef. Little shot of Pam would do the trick probably. Again, DON'T OVERCOOK or chicken will dry out. - Frozen hotdogs cooked in 5 mins...nice a plump. Good dogs produced little grease... - Cleanup...takes about 2 mins, a damp spoonge and some paper towels....wait for it to cool, but still slightly warm for easiest cleanup. As with anything that has contact with grease, use a mild dishwashing detergent and warm water to clean. then rinse with cold water on paper towels. For some of the other comments I read below. I don't see it tipping over unless you have a earthquake or a unstable surface. The grease tray shouldn't tip either if it's not bumped into hard. Sounds to me that those complaining about this have a small kitchen and no counter space for it and bump into it a lot. So far, I"m happy. I'm able to cook a little healthier and quicker and safer. (last time I cooked burgers in a frying pan, had every smoke alarm in house go off..lol). I'll post another review if it dies in a year. ;)

I received a George Foreman grill as a gift a couple of years ago. We moved recently and the movers packed my Foreman grill - I thought I was going to go crazy! So, I invested in a new one. I was not dissapointed in the least - LOVE this grill too. I like the added feature of the bun/roll warmer. It's so quick and easy to use and clean. Some people have commented that these are hard to clean. As long as the grill is warm it wipes right off with a wet paper towel. Can't beat that!
This grill is great and fast for cooking and clean up!

I love my George Foreman Grill, it is possible the best kitchen appliance i own. We use our "Goerge" for every thing from Burgers to Grilled Cheese sandwiches. We love to see all the fat that comes off our meat too, it really shows how much extra fat you are not eating, and still enjoying yourdelicious meal. I think our Goerge Forman grill has changed my cooking habits, and made my life so much easier, esspecially with the bun warmer :).
