1.0 out of 5 stars Grill OK; The Bun Warmer Blows
This is the second George Foreman I've owned, so I have no issues with the grill itself per se. The problem is that stupid bun warmer. First, it doesn't really get hot enough to make the bun toasty, especially since the grill cooks the food so quickly. Second, it's too small to heat more than one bun at a time. I don't know where they make the buns shown in photos...

I owned the smaller George Foreman "Lean Mean Fat Reducing Machine" for years and really enjoyed it because it quickly grilled hamburgers, steaks, and chicken strips. And it was always very easy to operate. I decided to upgrade to this new grill because it beautifully matches my kitchen (black.) I also wanted this grill because I really needed a slightly larger grill to "knock out the fat." My parents have two George Foreman grills and they offered to give me their extra-large jumbo grill, but that one is way too big for me. So, instead I opted to get this grill which is medium in size, between the small champ size and jumbo size. The value and quality are both exceptional; I have seen similar grills with less features go for much more. I also like the recipe booklet that it comes with because the recipes look very good and simple to make. And I found the little section on the back of the grill convenient because it can hold the cord in place. For everyone that enjoys hot buns, I recommend putting them in your toaster oven for a few minutes to get them toasty. I did not purchase this grill for that reason, so it really doesn't bother me if the bun toaster doesn't work too well; however when I recently used the bun warmer it worked very well for me. It's also a prefect grill to make baby back ribs in. I just cut the rack in half, boil the ribs first, spray the grill with lots of pam and grill them for about 10 minutes (turning them over after the first five), during the last few minutes I baste each side with my favorite barbecue sauce. The only thing I didn't like is that I had a little trouble stowing it away because it is somewhat bulky. Overall, it's a wonderful addition to my kitchen!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great kitchen item, July 28, 2005
This review is from: George Foreman GR19BWBC Contemporary Design Grill with Bun Warmer, Black (Kitchen)
I've become quite the culinary expert now that I have this grill. It cooks things so quickly that I am in and out of the kitchen in no time. I am single and feel this size would be adequate for two people at the most if you want to cook your meats at one time. Great product.

4.0 out of 5 stars Easy to use, quick clean-up and it matches my kitchen..., September 3, 2005

I love my new grill. Not only does it make grilling a breeze, its contemporary style matches my kitchen. It's a much healthier way of preparing foods. The cook book that came with the grill has quick, great tasting (the fruit-stuffed french toast and the turkey gyro being the best), easy to make recipes - that coming from a culinary student who loves to cook anyway. No big mess after cooking and clean-up is very fast. The only thing I do not like about the grill is that my turkey burgers come out a little dark on the bottom side. All other foods come out pretty good. Also, the bread warmer on top does just that...warm. It does not make my English muffins crunchy like my toaster oven. I love my turkey burgers on lightly toasted English muffins. I guess I will have to just put them directly on the grill. But overall, it's a great addition to my busy kitchen.

I don't know where they make the buns shown in photos where there are four open halves in there all at once with room to spare, but they don't sell buns that small around here. And even if they did, who makes burgers the size of silver dollars?
But my main complaint of the bun warmer, and the reason you should avoid this product: After using the grill about 5 times (and trying the bunwarmer itself twice) the LID to the bunwarmer no longer latches into the top of the grill. Now, every time you open the grill the bunwarmer lid flops back off. Poor design, Cheap material: Poor product.
Bottom line: I like the grill, it is very convenient, but DO NOT BUY ONE WITH A BUN WARMER.

5.0 out of 5 stars George Foreman Grill, November 10, 2006

Product is very good and serves the exact purpose I bought it for, i.e. grill upto 4 patties at a time. It grills 4 quater pounders or 3 half pound patties at a time. Cleaning is no hassle. I have even washed it under running water (ofcourse it wasn't plugged in) and you have to let it dry for a while after that. Advice - Don't trust the bun warmer; the transperant plastic cover just falls of and the buns don't get any warmer.

Bunwarmer??? Don't think so. Also, bunwarmer lid keeps falling off. I have laid it to rest in storage until I get it to the goodwill charity.

5.0 out of 5 stars Compact yet Large, February 23, 2006
This review is from: George Foreman GR19BWBC Contemporary Design Grill with Bun Warmer, Black (Kitchen)
My favorite compact Foreman grill. Has a large cooking area, length and width. All other compact units lack length especially and could use more width. Cooks chicken breast in 5 minutes, grills just about everything one can imagine. Easy cleaning, just take a regular paper towel, fold a few times so not to burn fingers, and wipe down right after cooking. Works better that way then letting it cool. This is actually my second one, I left my first behind in a move, never again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Every kitchen should have one, August 18, 2006
This review is from: George Foreman GR19BWBC Contemporary Design Grill with Bun Warmer, Black (Kitchen)
The George Foreman Grill is fantastic. It is so easy and fast to use that I find myself grilling a lot and eating more fish. It is easy to clean. The newer design looks sharp enough to keep on the counter top. The price is very reasonable.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice Upgrade, March 29, 2007

This review is from: George Foreman GR19BWBC Contemporary Design Grill with Bun Warmer, Black (Kitchen)
We recently upgraded to this larger grill from the little George Foreman GR10ABWI Champ Grill with Bun Warmer, Indigo, so this is a good improvement for us! Now we can cook heftier sliced of meat or make 2 grilled cheese sandwiches at once, so the increase in surface area is nice. For some reason I also like the flatter contemporary design of this grill. I haven't even attempted to use the bun warmer on this George Foreman, because just like everyone else, the lids have broken off our previously owned GF grills. Also, if the grease tray gets bumped a little you'll have hot grease on your counter tops. Overall, I'm pretty happy with this grill since it's quick & easy to use and clean, but we mostly just cook chicken, burgers, & sandwiches on it.
