"God and George Foreman love the working Woman--Yeah!",
By
This review is from: George Foreman GR30CB XXL Grill (Kitchen)
This summer, my mother, who has for the last 19-years lived with my family (consisting of two teenage daughters and my husband)and, who has cooked wonderful, healthful dinners for us all, returned to "her New York City" for the summer to be with "Her Yankees!" Right after her departure, my teens turned and asked me the dreaded qestion: " Hey Mom--what's for dinner?" Only then did it occur to me that I had not cooked a weekday dinner in 18 years (although "Sunday Dinner" is a big event.) The next day I purchased the "George Foreman Grill-XXL!" I have used it each day this summer. I have not used my oven--not at all! My dinners have been fabulous! One would think that "Oprah's Chef" now lives in my kitchen! I am convinced that marinating is a critical first step! But, beyond that, everything I have cooked--salmon, tilapia, chicken breast (boneless), pork loin, lamb, breakfast steaks... (for dinner) have been superb! In truth, I actually look forward to coming home and "creating" my wonderful summer dinners! Together with a wonderful salad, or a light pasta dish and a crispy vegetable plate..... life cannot get any better! Clean up is a breeze! The grill looks as good as the day I bought it! The beauty is that you know that you and your family are dining well and healthfully! It is a win/win for everyone! I have e-mailed 30 of my "hard working women-friends" about the George Foreman Grill. Today, 18 are now "Foreman devotees!" Indeed, several of them have sent gifts to me as presents for "turning them on to George Foreman and his Grill!" The question is : "What did we "working women" do before the George Foreman and his Grill?" God bless George Foreman and his grill and all of you! Thank you George! Sincerely, Betty Noel-Cushenberry Washington, D.C.

I am pleasantly surprised by how well the George Foreman grill works. Even after reading all of the glowing reviews I was still skeptical that this would be a good product, but it has turned out to be a great addition to my kitchen.Using the grill is very simple. Just plug it and let it warm up (strangely there is no temperature setting or on-off switch). Once that is finished, toss on whatever you want to cook, close the lid and come back in a few minutes. I've found that chicken breast and steak cook in a matter of minutes. It also works well for vegetables and seafood. After you're finished cooking, let it cool and then wipe off the grilling surface with a wet towel. It's that simple. The only downside I have found is that it burns foods that are of varying size. For example, if you have a couple of chicken breasts on the grill it will tend to leave a charred film on the top of the largest breast. This can be solved with better food preparation so it is only an inconvenience. Also, if you are trying to decide which size to get and think the XXL might be too big, think again. It is the perfect size for 1 or 2 people. It allows you to cook several pieces of food at once (maybe 3-5 chicken breasts or 2-3 decent size steaks) and doesn't take up an enormous amount of counter space.

Burgers and Bacon work well,
By scott_from_dallas (Irving, Texas United States) - See all my reviews

Yes, the ad shows for burgers, chicken, etc. for sandwiches, but I use this thing mostly for bacon. Practically no mess and clean up means sacrificing about a half dozen paper towels. Frying bacon is the worst. If the splatter doesn't get you, the grease injestion will. While George doesn't make bacon low fat, this at least removes much of the grease out of the food.Burgers work well too, though if you are used to an outdoor gas grill, get some seasoning on the meat first. But for cooking burgers and then the buns indoor, this grill is top rate. But get the biggest one. The smaller ones just aren't big enough for more than one person.
