4.0 out of 5 stars Good grill, easy to use and produces tasty food
This is my second GF grill. My first was a hand-me-down from a friend that I didn't use for six months b/c I thought the commercials were a bit silly and over-hyped. But once I actually tried the grill, I was a convert.

It is very easy to use and produces very tasty results. It grills chicken better than I could on an outdoor grill. I now use my grill...

1.0 out of 5 stars Lasts just a few months before food sticks
This is my third Foreman grill. The concept is great but the quality is poor. The worse part is the "nonstick" surface quickly is lost and food sticks horribly to the grill. Cleanup is time consuming and you never can quite get it all off. I am done. The only reason I have this third grill was because it was a Christmas gift. Prior to it, I had vowed never to buy...

I now use my grill 2-3 times a week or more, and now that I have the super-sized grill I even grill my vegetables on it. They taste great too.

Don't let the somewhat cheesy commercials (George is great, but just a bit goofy, I think.) or natural skepticism stop you from trying this grill. It is easy to use and produces very delicious food. Once you try it, you will buy it. I would buy another one if I needed it.

4.0 out of 5 stars The easiest way to clean your George Foreman grill, June 20, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: George Foreman GR36P Grand Champ 133 Square Inch Extra Value Grill (Kitchen)
This grill works great! I have had two and they usually last 4-5 years. The food is grilled perfectly and the fat is removed. When it comes to cleaning them though, that is a different story.

Follow these steps to learn how to effectively clean a George Foreman grill so you don't knock yourself out.

1. Unplug your George Foreman grill and while it is still hot put a wet paper towel in it and close it.

2. Eat your meal or wait about 30 minutes. Using oven mitts, wipe the grill down with the warm paper towel.

3. Purchase a George Foreman grill sponge set from Target or Bed, Bath and Beyond. Clean the grill gently with dish soap and warm water.

4. Use the plastic spatula that comes with the George Foreman grill to scrape off any hard-to-remove food. If you always clean it when it's still warm you shouldn't have any of this on your grill.

5. Dry your George Foreman grill with paper towels. Let it finish air drying before closing the grill.

Prior to it, I had vowed never to buy another. The last one had inter-changeable plates but, get this, you can't buy replacement plates!!!! Im going to buy a grill that I dont need to replace every few months. Or at least one with plates you can purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Indoor Grill, September 3, 2011

This review is from: George Foreman GR36P Grand Champ 133 Square Inch Extra Value Grill (Kitchen)
I bought this grill on the recommendation of a friend and have been extremely pleased with it. I tended to overcook food at first because the suggested cooking times seemed too short. Once I got the hang of it, everything turns out very well. It is easy to use - easy to clean - easy to store. I use the George Foreman cleaning pads with a little detergent and the grill plates are good as new. I would suggest that once the food is removed to place a double folded wet paper towel on the grill, close it, and turn off the power. Then when you are ready to clean it, the residue on the plates easily wipes off and it is ready to wash.

The grill works just great and can hold several pieces of cuts and veggies. It is tough to clean since it is so large. Will keep using it. Food turns out great!

We bought this for our daughter and her husband and family. They have used it every day since we gave it to them and have informed us that it makes the best burgers they have ever had.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great grill!, October 8, 2011
This review is from: George Foreman GR36P Grand Champ 133 Square Inch Extra Value Grill (Kitchen)
We bought this model after the previous (now discontinued) model died on us. This was about 4 months ago. We use it about once a week to 10 days. & Even though it is slightly smaller than the previous model, it is WORLDS apart as far as quality!

What a difference! With the previoius model, I think I got a perfect steak maybe, once or twice. Now, it's perfect EVERY SINGLE TIME! *Please note! Vigilance is key!!! **There is NO cooking machine where you can "set it and forget it!" Please do not stick with any "time recommendation" for your type of steak and wellness from any recipies. Every steak is different and needs ITS OWN care, especially "irregularly or unevenly shaped" cuts. Work with the machine, and it will work with (and for) you! I move the steak around every few minutes and flip it over, even though the cooking is done on top and bottom automatically. Make small incisions to check for your preferred degree of wellness. It may be a little inconvenient. But a perfect steak is always worth the effort! Of course, with other foods like chicken, veggies, fish, etc., wellness is not an issue, as there is only one. So, those are easier to cook.

Clean-up wise, I highly recommend getting a set of GF grill-cleaning sponges. They are NON-ABRASIVE and do a very good job of cleaning the grills if used properly. *Hint: Before using the sponges, and while the grill is still a little warm, wet a paper towel and apply it to the grill to loosen the food. Then, start removing the food with the corse side of the sponge with dishwashing soap. *When rinsing the sponge, squeeze with the corse side INWARD. Otherwise, the corse side will tend to rip, as it is more fragile than the smooth side. If you follow these steps properly, your grill should come out perfectly clean without ANY noticeable chips.

Good luck and enjoy this great grill!

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome for Indoors!, June 23, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: George Foreman GR36P Grand Champ 133 Square Inch Extra Value Grill (Kitchen)
If you can't grill indoors, this is the way to go - and much faster. The grill reaches cooking temp in about 5 minutes after plug-in. Chicken breasts take about 7-10 mins; burgers about 6-8 mins. Non-stick surface is fantastic. As the meal cooks, the grease/oil runs out the front into the catch tray. Very easy to clean - best to do when still warm. Sometimes, this means plugging it back in after dinner for a couple of minutes. Also great for paninni. The sandwiches aren't that much different than a regular fry pan, but don't tell my kids that - they love the fancy grill pattern! The size of this grill allows 6 good-size burgers at once. Burgers in 6 minutes - how do you beat that. The product came well packed with no issues.
