5.0 out of 5 stars Easy, fast, simple to clean.
I ordered these plates last week and got them last night. They work very well, easy to make omelets and quick. One helpful piece of advise: Have all of your ingredients ready to place in the indents of the tray as the omelets cook very fast. Also, use a non fat cooking spray like Pam, after cooking your omelets will slide right out of the tray that way and make cleanup...

Got these at the same time I bought the grill. With the additional amazon $25 discount for spending $125, it seemed like a good idea.

However, after making omelets in both the Omelet Plates, and the Baking Plates, I prefer the latter. I like my omelet folded, with the cheese and other fixings in the middle. With the Omelet Plates, you place the eggs and other fixings in the oval indentations. While cooking, it puffs up considerably. You then sprinkle cheese on top after it is done. It tastes fine.

I would wait until you have used the basic plates before you decide you need the Omelet Plates.

One helpful piece of advise: Have all of your ingredients ready to place in the indents of the tray as the omelets cook very fast. Also, use a non fat cooking spray like Pam, after cooking your omelets will slide right out of the tray that way and make cleanup a snap! I am glad I bought these. The picture shows one tray, there actually 2 trays, the bottom tray is the deep tray where the eggs and other ingredients go, there is also a upper tray with shallower indents.

5.0 out of 5 stars pielets and shepherds pies, June 29, 2008
This review is from: George Foreman Omelet Plates for the G5 George Foreman Grill (Kitchen)
The omelet maker is extremely versatile, Besides omelets (small) you can get pre-made dough ( puff pastry or pie crust) at your local supermarket and then go wild making pocket sandwiches with left-overs
hint add sugar to fresh fruit (or splenda) do not use Nutra sweet or saccharine as they change flavor under heat
leftover meat can be chopped and the grandkids will eat leftover hamburger in a pocket pie with other veggies even tho they won't eat it when first served - put crust on top and bottom and temp on medium or crust will get done with middle still cool
great item

Sample recipe. Egg Beaters Western--protein calories. A smidge of cut up turkey or chicken. Cooking spray. Set on medium. One serving in two of the three spaces turkey and Egg Beaters--cook on medium for 2 to 2.5 minutes. A sprinkle of shredded cheese added after the cooking--sandwich the cheese between the two 'omelets'--salsa for added kick and you're rocking and rolling to a great breakfast in 5 minutes.

5.0 out of 5 stars quick breakfast help, May 6, 2007

I use them to make breakfast sandwiches, after cooking the eggs, I fold them in half and they fit perfectly on an english muffin. I have also used it to make quiche and cake. I love how fast I can prepare different things.

This is a very nice addition to the Grilleration. I have done the sweet biscuits, stuffed omlettes, pita pockets, stuffed cheese wraps, filled pie crusts and anything that I can think of. Very user friendly and easy to clean.

These plates are a wonderful addition to my G5 Foreman grill. I use them all the time and not just for making omelets. It's very versitile. I have made stuffed pancakes, individual coffee cakes, and muffins. I like these plates so much, I purchased a set for my son, the chef. He loves them.

This plate has made omlete making easy. You have to watch out for how much you put in it, but if you are not good at making omletes in a pan like me then this is a good thing.

Nice, fluffy, one egg omelettes with these plates! So easy, just scramble your eggs, pour them into the ovals, add any extras, close the lid. In about 2 minutes your omelettes are ready to slide off the plate and enjoy.
The plates clean up easily with soap and warm water.

4.0 out of 5 stars Potential for Mess, but Yummy!, January 10, 2008

This is a great addition to my GF Next Grilleration grill. If you like classic folded omelets, this is not what you will prefer but it makes a tasty omelet and is VERY fast. You can make 3 at once, how great is that!?!

One negative I've found so far - it can be messy if you pour even just a tad bit too much in there - - the raw egg will run off on to the grill or the counter.

Buon Appetit!
