If you're a "George of the Jungle" fan, you will love the soundtrack. My favorites are the ones directly from the movie (like "Dela" and the theme song), though a few of the "filler" tracks (such as "Go Ape: The Dance Mix" and "Jungle Band") are pretty good as well. Not much has been said about the wonderful Marc Shaiman score. I especially love the uplifting "George to the Rescue" track. Who can forget the part in the movie where George puts on a pair of Air Jordans and runs through the African savanna to rescue Ape? This wonderful score will bring back memories of the movie such as this. It's too bad the Walt Disney company didn't produce more copies of this soundtrack--now it's out of print and pretty hard to find. But if you can find a copy, it will be worth it!

If you're a George Of the Jungle fan,this is a must have.All of the songs on there are great.I hope you enjoy the the album as much as I do.

In 1997 Walt Disney Pictures released a surprisingly funny live-action version of the old George of the Jungle cartoons. This soundtrack contains music from the movie, and as you might expect is a bit of a mixed bag. The Presidents of the United States of America produced a surprisingly flaccid title song, "watch out for that, bang, ew, tree..." Come on guys, put a little power in it!

But, the rest of the soundtrack is quite good, with Weird Al Yankovic producing a much, much better version of the old George of the Jungle song. But, that's not the only good track - Dela (I Know Why the Dog Howls at the Moon) by Johnny Clegg & Savuka is excellent as is the classic Wipe Out by The Surfaris. Yeah, this is a quite good soundtrack - give it a listen!

Track #8, called "Go Ape" and written and sung by Michael Becker, was left out of the list. Personally, that dance-mix is my favorite. Overall, the CD is awesome! But I'm still looking for the artist Michael Becker. Anybody heard of him?

Loved the movie "George of the Jungle". And loved the song "Dela". I decided to add this soundtrack to my collection. It has about 3 or 4 renditions of the title track and they all make me smile when I hear them. And I love "Dela". Something about it makes me feel youthful, tropical, pretty, and springtimey all at the same time. Overall, the entire soundtrack is great. If you loved the movie, you are going to love the soundtrack!!!

Excellent selection of singers and composers! Specially the performance of President of USA interpreting "George of The jungle".
All tracks have a fun rhythm that bring back to memory the funniest moments of the movie!

The music like the movie tells a story of a love so pure and genuine that may of us will never experience. I believe that this is a movie for the young and old, believers and those who are not!

As cool as the awsome movie. A must have for any Jungle fan! With all the very hot songs from the movie. I loved it and you can too!!!!!!!!

As a child, I used to watch animation version of "George of the Jungle" in TV In Japan! (I think It's cool!). I'm very glad to listen this theme music again. But Movie version is cheep. So I redused two stars.
