I like this item. I purchased it without a review (obviously, as I'm the first). The little lights heat up kind of a lot, which I was surprised as they are only 3 watts supposedly. The light is bright white and illuminates the room decently for the low wattage. The track itself is minimalist, nothing more than a thin bar with plastic clips to screw it to the ceiling. Unfortunately, I have a panel ceiling, so I had to buy panel ceiling clips at Office Depot or Lowe's (they both have them), and picture hanging wire to hang the tracks. Fortunately though for the panel ceiling as the one drawback to this item is the short throw between the rail plug-in and the conversion box (the plug for it is similar to the one for your laptop, with a switch added between the wall plug-in and the conversion box). It's only like 6 inches between the conversion box and the rail plug-in, so hiding it would be a pain in the butt if you didn't have a panel ceiling. There are 3 rails, about 1 1/2 feet each, with two connectors to link them together. So you can position the rails to be parallel with different walls, which is nice. The lights just slide right off and on to the rails, so they're easy to move around and adjust. The connection is sometimes a little loose, but playing with it solves that pretty quick and then they're rather reliable. Overall, it's a nice item for the price, as low wattage track-lighting options just don't exist. But I certainly wouldn't pay the original price of this item which is listed around $300. Get it discounted, and you'll like it I think. I'll post a picture soon.

UPDATE: Ok, I'm man enough to admit when I'm wrong. The thing sucks. 2 lights have already broken; 1 doesn't work anymore, the other popped free of the holder and now dangles. It's not like this thing goes through serious wear and tear, it's attached the the ceiling for crying out loud. Still looks decent, but quality needs serious improvement.
