George Miksch Sutton: Artist, Scientist, and Teacher provides a fine survey telling of a Victorian gentleman trained in the sciences but at home in the arts. Jerome Jackson is a friend and colleague and uses interviews, correspondence, and personal insights to provide a fine portrait of the artist and a first biography of Sutton's contributions - beautiful bird paintings. Any library strong in science or art - or biographical sketches - will find this a lively survey.
