It only contains what the description says it contains: "Animal Farm", "Burmese Days", "A Clergyman's Daughter", "Coming up for Air", "Keep the Aspidistra Flying", and "1984". These particular writings are complete and unabridged, but these are not the complete writings of Orwell.

Of course they're good, but the title is very misleading. Don't be fooled into thinking it's everything he wrote.

Followup 4 years later: I see Amazon changed the product title, and now it is not misleading. When I ordered this in 2004, the title was listed as George Orwell, Complete and Unabridged.

This is a great collection from a man who was a wonderful writer. I would also suggest that you read the four volume set of his collected essays. He packed a lot of life into his time here on earth, and his insights are still valuable today. This collection will leave you wanting more from a writer who unfortunately died to soon: before he had a chance to really make the mark he could have on the world.
