About the Author

Dr Jo Readman is in charge of education at the Eden Project in Cornwall. She has previously written books on plants and worked for Channel 4. Ley Honor Roberts' artwork can be seen at Eden in the form of 'the leaf people' in merchandising, the website and around exhibits. She has also worked as a freelance artist, most recently illustrating the new Babar books. She lives in Cornwall with her young family.

We got this book for our daughter after visiting "The Magic House" in Saint Louis which had an exhibit based on this book. It teaches a great lesson about "Reducing, Reusing, and Recycling"; and building those principles into your everyday decisions and actions.

Somehow I found this book, which seemed pretty fun to teach the R's. Well, It definately made a change in the way kids looked at the whole "what can I do?" situation.

Now, we talk about George like if he was one of the classmates.We go and ask him whrn we don't know what to do and whenever we forget something related with taking care of the planet. It's a MUST book for lower school children!
