Editorial Reviews

George Thorogood and the Destroyers celebrate 30 years of high octane, hard rocking blues on this DVD recorded during the British leg of their European Tour in 2004. This DVD features a combination of tracks from his most recent album Ride 'Til I Die (released on Eagle Records) together with favorites such as Move It On Over, One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer, You Talk Too Much, I Drink Alone, and, of course, the classic Bad To The Bone. The live tracks are intercut with brief snippets of behind the scenes footage and interview clips with George Thorogood.

Track Listing: 1. Long Gone 2. Who Do You Love 3. Night Time 4. Drink Alone 5. One Bourbon, Once Scotch, One Beer 6. Don't Let The Bossman Get You Down 7. The Sky Is Crying 8. Sweet Little Lady 9. Greedy Man 10. Bad To The Bone 11. Move It On Over 12. The Fixer 13. You Talk Too Much 14. That's It I Quit 15. Rockin' My Life Away

Bonus Features: ~ "American Made" Promo Film ~ 2 Acoustic Tracks: "Ride 'Til I Die" and "Merry Christmas Baby"

3.0 out of 5 stars Thorogood is the coolest, but... March 15, 2006
By SamIAM
Format:DVD
Something is missing from this DVD, George Thorogood's fanatastic guitar tone. I can see some modern Mesa amps onstage, that I think he's plugged into. Not sure but I'm guessing he is using different amps from the old days, becuase it's just not there. The other guy playing lead sounds good, but Goeorge's tone isn't right. I can't really blame George (he may be half deaf, for all I know, with all touring he's put in), but someone, with some hearing left, should tell him to go back to what he was using in the days he recorded these fantastic songs. His guitar is lost in the mix and what you do hear is a bit harsh and grainy. Where it used to be warm with just the right amount of grit. Too bad because his guitar is so important to the music. Otherwise he's still got the vocals, the camera work is good and picture quality is fine. I would rather see the interview stuff in a seperate extras section. I'll be looking for another older DVD of Thorogood. Sorry I started with this one. It's lackluster.

5.0 out of 5 stars Totally worth the money September 15, 2013
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
He starts slow to tease the audience, but then blows the doors off the building! He obviously loves what he does, and it shows. This concert is one of the greats in my collection. Well done Handsome George and the Destroyers!
