Product Description

Emmy-nominated humorist and political writer Tom Ruprecht offers up the first faux oral history of the United States' 43rd president. George W. Bush's life is presented in chronological order—from infancy to the beer-soaked floor of a Yale fraternity house, and from blowing off his questionable tenure with the National Guard to blowing off his presidential duties. Inspired quotes from the president's inner circle reveal long-simmering tensions between George H. W. and Barbara Bush; Condoleezza's unrequited love; Cheney's descent into madness; and much, much more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Laugh-Out-Loud Funny!, June 2, 2007
Both my husband and I have enjoyed Ruprecht's new book. We recently had a party and the book was out on a table. Before I knew it, the book was rotating through the party, with each person finding a funny passage. Some of our friends' comments included, "This is hilarious!" and "I've got to buy this for myself". I hope to see more books from this talented writer.

5.0 out of 5 stars FINALLY BUSH AND ORAL IN THE SAME TITLE, May 12, 2007
This book is not just clever...
It's not just funny....
But It's Both--- Clever AND Funny
It may be more clever than funny... no, maybe more funny than clever. Maybe 1/4 clever and the rest funny... no that's not right. Maybe equal parts clever AND funny... oh, just buy it and decide for yourself.
It literally made me snot out of my nose with laughter!

5.0 out of 5 stars Seems like it could be non fiction, June 10, 2007
I thought it was a great book. I laughed myself silly. The author is closer to the facts than he realizes. Everyone that thinks our fearless leader is a bumbling idiot should be sure to read this.

4.0 out of 5 stars Quick and entertaining
Not a real biography, but a humorous look at W's life. Staunch Republicans most likely won't like it. Most should be able to see the humor in it. Read more
