5.0 out of 5 stars Way to GO - Georgia Boots
The first thing I have to say is, I actually got a second pair of Georgia's 2 weeks after getting these. The other pair is the Farm Wedge G6152. They are both very different from each - but they are both very comfortable & it is very nice to wear the pair more compatible to my scheduled days activities. The G6274 are more rugged, have a more slip proof sole. They have...

If you are looking for a boot that will allow your feet to get wet with just a small amount of water, buy these. The plastice ridge just above the welt will act as a rain gutter and will direct even the smallest amount of water, the morning dew, directly to your feet. Thts right even walking through the lawn in the morning on your way to the car will leave your feet wet...

5.0 out of 5 stars Way to GO - Georgia Boots, September 11, 2010

The first thing I have to say is, I actually got a second pair of Georgia's 2 weeks after getting these. The other pair is the Farm Wedge G6152. They are both very different from each - but they are both very comfortable & it is very nice to wear the pair more compatible to my scheduled days activities. The G6274 are more rugged, have a more slip proof sole. They have been a little slower to break in - but are very comfortable. The Wedges are so soft & are more like a high top walking shoe. Their sole can be a little less slip proof however. Between the 2, I am getting rid of a sore foot problem I developed from a pair of 1yr. old John Deere Boots. The shank apparently cracked & the lack of arch support lead to a very sore foot. I like both so much, that I wear them on the weekends while cooking & grilling. The great arch support just make my feet happy. I was bragging to my Dad on the phone about my new boots & it turns out he just got a pair of Georgia Boots himself, after trying out about a dozen different boots. He said he wore his a whole day at the MN State Fair & just loved them. Way to GO - Georgia Boot!!! - Brian B.

This is the 2nd pair of the same boots for my husband. He is very hard on workboots and these have lasted longer than most others.

This review is from: Georgia Boot Men's Georgia Giant G6274 Work Boot (Apparel)

The plastice ridge just above the welt will act as a rain gutter and will direct even the smallest amount of water, the morning dew, directly to your feet. Thts right even walking through the lawn in the morning on your way to the car will leave your feet wet for the rest of the day.
If that isn't bad enough after a few months the soles will separate from the boots, and you will be left searching for glue to try and get a few more steps out of these over priced, inferior, boots. Yes they were comfortable, as long as thier was no miosture around.
Truly a poor design. Do not buy these boots

5.0 out of 5 stars Repurchase of the same boots bought 12 years ago that my wife is afraid may some day wear out!, December 11, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
My husband bought the Georgia Giant G6274 Work boot 12 years ago and is stilling using them because they fit and feel good and they are still completely intact. I was concerned that something might happen to them and asked him if he would want the same boot again, and he said, "you betchya!" So I hunted and hunted, and found them here at Amazon.com at a very good price, and since I'll do anything to make my husband happy so some other woman can't steal him away from me, I bought him a new pair and he was thrilled that after all these years, this shoe STILL existed. Of course, I stroked him by saying that he was such a wonderful shopper and while there was so much junk in the marketplace today, he found a REAL GEM. O ladies, just keep them happy with some new Georgia Work Boots so they can do all those "special projects for you". They make a great Christmas present!

These are great! Most of all because they are a work boot they are comfortable, but they also look good. The price was so reasonable, quickly shipped and absolutely no problems with the seller.

5.0 out of 5 stars O' Georgia, October 28, 2007
These boots are amazing! What you see is what you get. The pictures are dead on and so is the craftsmanship with the boots. The top layer of leather is an oiled leather which if you're not careful can get scuffed up real quickly. There are however oil sponges that you can use to keep the boot nice and healthy looking. I've yet to test the boots in rough weather but so far they've held their own. I'm happy enough with these boots that I'm going to get the 8" replica of this boot. It's just a higher lacing.
