Good break-up song,

I don't own this CD, but I have "Georgia" on my MP3 player. The first line says it all: "If I'm not over you by the time I get to Georgia, I'll be Alabama bound." The song is about a woman who's tried to leave her boyfriend before, but she always turned around at the Georgia state line. This time, however, she vows to keep going. This is a great song to give you the courage to pick up and start over.

Georgia on My Mind,

I love this single! It has everything a good song should have: great melody/beat; catchy lyrics that tell a convincing story; and an artist with a good voice. And Carolyn Dawn Johnson and co-writer Troy Verges get points for a wonderful, overall great song; and the video's nice, too. I can relate to the lyrics--they say so much. For weeks the ending rang over and over in my head: "If I'm not over you by Georgia, then I'll head to Alabama, roll on to Mississippi, and maybe Louisiana. I'll drive all the way to California. Oh, I won't turn around . . . ."Haunting and beautiful! I hope CDJ's entire CD is full of great music like "Georgia." No matter where you're headed or why, this song is simply fantastic.

Her debut single, Georgia, gives a glimpse of Johnson's vocal talent, while re-emphasizing her ability to pen a song about real feelings and intimate struggles. This song is just one example of Johnson's ability as a vocalist to inject just enough feeling and heart without overpowering the beautifully simplistic message of her song. As a sample of what Carolyn Dawn Johnson has to offer, here is a cd that won't disappoint, no matter what your mood. There is no doubt that we'll be hearing more from this talented Canadian artist as her star keeps rising.

If you are a fan of Susan Ashton, Martina McBride or Jamie Oneal you will LOVE Carolyn Dawn Johnson's entire CD. She has some incredible ballads that really touch you as a listener at the CORE. I even cried during 2 of the cuts. Her voice is pure and crisp, as are her lyrics. I can assure you that you will love this CD....her first single, Georgia, was just a teaser for the rest of the CD....a must have for any Country music fan!

I like this song mainly because I'm from the south living much more north, so it brings me back to good ole' music from home. She's got a great voice for all those country - pop music lovers. Go ahead and give it a try. You'll like it.

I am very impressed with the CD single featuring Carolyn Dawn Johnson. Carolyn is a dynamic singer and songwriter. I love both songs on the CD single: "Georgia," and "Love is always worth the ache." The CD single demonstrates to the listener that music has found a new diva. I am eager to purchase Carolyn's album, once released, because I cannot seem to get enough of this new female vocalist.

Carolyn Dawn Johnson, on top of an amazing songwriting capability, has the voice to match. If you like Martina McBride, you will fall in love with CDJ. (She used to sing backup vocals on Martina's tour). CDJ has the emotion and passion that it takes to make songs go straight to the listener's soul.

Carolyn Dawn Johnson's single Georgia is one of the finer country songs that I have heard. Raised on country my entire life it is refreshing to hear such a wonderful song by a talented young lady. "Georgia" caught my ear the very moment i heard the first note on the radio and has since then been embedded into my head. All musics fans, even those non country folks, can appreciate this song and Carolyn's talent. I am eagerly waiting the release date of Carolyn's first CD as I am sure many others are as well.
